Hi A.I.,
Pres. Obama is a Fabian Socialist. It would have been very helpful had those who voted for him taken a little time researching what he believed in and the direction he was going to take this country.
Too late now, we've got him for four years.
Sounds like Rush. :-( I guess it didn't occur to you that those who voted for him did their research and like what he believes in. Personally I am glad Obama is our President.
Now, it would help if the Pres. supporters would actually pay attention to what's happening and not continue to believe lies and excuses about who's to blame for this mess.
This is more like Beck. LOL! Could it be that many Americans do pay attention to what is going on? And what lies are you talking about. I think it is odd that you think our country is in this mess because of what has happened over the last few weeks.
Think of a sixty year old man who is 100 pounds overweight, who smokes, and is in a very high stress job. His doctor tells him to eat better, meditate, and quit smoking but he continues on. He has a few warning signs that he may have heart disease but he ignores it and takes an aspirin to cope. Finally he has a heart attack and a surgeon ends up giving him a quadruple bypass. You can't blame the surgeon for his time in ICU recovering, or for the six months of recovery.
Because if they don't wake up soon, we are not going to recover.
What does this even mean? What do you think it means to "wake up" and are you serious that you don't think we are going to recover? Really?
The stock market was at 6500 pts. this morning. It lost ANOTHER 500 pts. WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!!
And, what do you think people need to do to wake up? Yeah, the market is going to go down more.. probably for another six months or so. Yeah, no one is happy but it is not because people are sleeping.
He's not concerned about fixing the economy-
This is Rush again... total silliness. Of course he is concerned about fixing the economy as are all the economists throughout the world.
-it is clear, he'd see the damage he is doing and he'd stop.
Nope... he is doing what is necessary to fix the problem. The days of a little quick fix and ignore the problems and our future are over. Drastic situations take drastic measures.
But he has an agenda and he is hell-bent on implementing it, regardless of the cost to the American people and our country.
Beck again. Where do you get your news? You may not agree but there are lots of brilliant economists who are advising our President.
Pres. Obama has a vision of how he wants to shape this country and how he wants our lives to be, and this vision does not include a free capitalist society.
Nonsense. The problem is we are in a situation where to do nothing and let the market take care of itself is not an option, at least for most Americans. We have to go with the least bad option in my opinion.
If you want the United States of American to become a socialist nation, then you will be happy with what he is doing. He's making a huge power grab by the Govt.--with his stimulus package, his taking over banks, and next his plan is to nationalize Healthcare. He's isolating us from our regular allies (his snub of Brown was calculated) and he's making overtures to those we should not trust(Russia and groups like the Taliban) and saddling us with high tax burdens and more regulations than we've ever seen.
Oh goodness. It is going to take some serious steps to get us out of this mess, but more importantly we HAVE to take some major steps to move into the future. Continuing on as we have, taking asprin is no longer an option.
If this is what his voting supporters wanted, then I guess they'll be happy.
No one is happy with our current economic problems, but they were a long time in coming and will take a while to fix.
But if this isn't what they wanted, they'd better speak up, because the only voters he'll listen to (if he'll listen to anyone) is his own party. Conservatives, republicans have absolutely no power and we have NO influence over him.
OK, I'll write him an email. :-) Again, I'm not totally happy with every little step being taken, there are things I would do differently (as if I know how to run a country), still, as far as I can tell, most economists and brilliant minds agree that serious drastic measures have to be taken, that enormous amounts of money are going to be needed, and that recovery is going to take some time. In addition, I don't think any expert in the world would not agree that we need some serious changes to move our country into the future.
All in all, I think the Rush/Beck drama is getting out of control.
