MoApologetics board, no sense of humor?

Post by _JoetheClerk »

A break from research and the news is of Big Love HBO show. So, I hit a link here and went to the Mormon Apologetics board, registered as here with linking through a friends computer Out of Utah(to foil [ad hominem deleted] like Peterson when they try tracking one down) and posted two things there.

Was thrown off the board in less than 12 minutes. Blocked and the log in 'disappeared'. Do these guys learn this from Russians, South American Drug Cartels or is it a course from BYHighdaho somehow?

Apparently no tolerance for another viewpoint. Looks as if routing through another server and friends computer is the smart thing to do when posting LDS stuff on hot topics when one still lives behind the Zion Curtain and the land of the small minds. Maybe I staved off a midnight Danite visit?

At any rate, all this foolishness will blow over as the idiots who are cancelling HBO will now have more time to subscribe to Porn stations available in Utah, or go to Marriott Hotels to watch the porno movies?

Just like the idiots in the 60's who burned the Beatles records, they will only have to buy once again in a few months as they come to realize how stupid they were.

But, twelve minutes to banning, is this normal?

LOL.

As if I've ever done that even once.

I suppose it could be rather exhilarating to be thought a virtually omnipotent bogeyman. I'll have to ponder it a bit.

Incidentally, Joe: Boo!

And you find this so surprising? If Mormons were tolerant, as a general rule, we wouldn't have talks about the need for us to be tolerant in GC.

You (and everyone else) will know exactly what we need to work on for the next 6 months, in about 3 weeks.

Any bets on what that will be? I'm thinking... pornography, tithing, and temple attendance.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

Here you go, Cinepro. This is what he posted. Yep, he's hilarious, but we LDS have no sense of humor so we can't appreciate his Bardlike wit.

This whole thing is dumber than the BYU prez that censored Rodins sculptures.

HBO loves the publicity. In a few weeks LDS, Inc. will use the publicity to try and garner sympathy and bolster the faith of the weak minded who always need 'something more' to keep them excited.

So what if HBO does this. Brigham preached against pants that buttoned in the front. Both mean as much.

All the fools who cancel their HBO subscriptions will come crawling back in a few months to once again watch the movies available. It is cheaper than going to Marriott Hotels and renting the adult films, after all. And LDS, Inc. does not turn down Marriott donations of $$$, do they?

As for desecrating Temples, how can one get lower than sealing two men for 'time and eternity' which has been done in LDS Temples before. Or the fools chewing on toothpicks, matches, falling asleep during the ceremonies, oogling the 'sisters', chewing gum and all the other irreverent stuff that goes on during the ceremonies. We won't even mention those who have taken video cameras through..., or the one guy I know who took his pet monkey through the whole ceremony because he didn't' want to leave it home alone while it was ill. How about that, a Celestial Monkey?

This will all blow over in a few weeks but the baptism of Jews killed in the Holocost will go on, Adolf Hitler has still been baptized and the Mormon Murderer/Rapist Ted Bundy has also. If embarassment is part of what is to be avoided this is small potatoes compared to what has already gone on.

Who knows, maybe this will start a run on garments and Deseret Industries will get rich?

After it airs be sure to come on and report if it is the earlier ceremony with the Death Penalties acted out or the even earlier one with them as well as the Oath of Vengeance against the United States. Might be interesting to see which they use.

How stupid can one be. An active Boycott can put all involved directly in a RICO investigation for racketeering. Boycotts have legal ramifications and if you want to get LDS, Inc., really looked at go ahead and do something this stupid.

As for being interviewed, go ahead. As members with personal opinions, express them. Letting someone else talk for you is the cowards way out. If you aren't smart enough to state clearly how you feel maybe you aren't smart enough to know what you believe either and are easily led any direction someone takes you.

In a few weeks and months the idiots who cancelled their TV subscriptions will once again pay to get re-hooked up just like the idiots who burned Beatles records in the 60's all had to buy new records later. This whole thing is as stupid as Brigham Young stating that wearing pants that buttoned in the front were of Satan.

Grow up children.
