If the chesney's are happy out of the LDS church, I say, great for them. But I still would like to ask them how they have dealt with all the spiritual experiences they have had in the church. I am sure that they bore their testimony many times and spoke of the spirit. It comes with their turf. And so, how would they explain their leaving and their spiritual experiences? Lets hope they come clean and not have their friends speak for them.

They seem like prime candidates for the exmo conference.

Spiritual experiences are subjective. Also, perhaps they would answer as I might. Testimony I have given in the past was based on information that lacked full disclosure. As I have discovered more facts about that which I gave testimony too my testimony has needed and required modification. Apparently for the Chesney's that modification required totally abandoning what they thought was true.

Because in the end, the LDS church has not been proven false. The witnesses have not been exposed and all is well in that regard.

I don't know why you would trust the word of men "too mean to mention", and who were "counterfeiters, thieves, liars, and blacklegs of the deepest dye".
We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.

What is false? What is true? Please explain, Sir.
You can’t trust adults to tell you the truth.

I will be in this...

Some leave while alive. All leave at death. However their departure, they will be replaced by others who think/believe somewhat, but not totally as they believed. Thereby Mormonism evolves, keeping slow-pace with time and culture; making a comfortable place for some while discomforting others...so motivating their lessor sin of leaving, rather than living the greater sin of self-denial and suppression of thought to engage a hoped for Heavenly estate based upon obedience to human imaginings... As I imagine things...

Actually, it goes something like this: I am tired of it all and I want to leave. Possibly starts that way... I leave but don't resign, just go inactive. Some leave after a while but the great majority just go inactive. True...No self denial or suppression of thought or hoped for heavenly estate based upon obedience to human imaginings. Awareness of the dubiousness of LDS' claim to represent "God" becomes too vast to ignore...

Because in the end, the LDS church has not been proven false. Has it been "proven" true? The witnesses have not been exposed and all is well in that regard. To thoose who so believe...

As others have said, there is much to be gained in Mormonism IF/WHEN it offers what one is seeking. Some testify that is "...why the church is true..." Being a "good church" does not make it, "THE ONLY TRUE CHURCH"

(The following 2 paragraphs should have been coloured...No pun intended;-)When anything, created by humans or "God", becomes no longer usable the rational thing to do is dispose of it. And if need be replace it with a new/better item/model. Secrarianism makes that possible if one wants to continue participating for their own reasons...

However, IMSCO, to imagine Christianity--in and of itself, in any denomination, including LDSism--taking one through 'The Pearly Gates' into another world of heavenly existance is vain imagining of egoism...

Most stay? What do you mean by "most" stay? The activity rate worldwide is something like 40% at best. How does that translate to "most" stay? Seems to me that it looks like "most" leave by one means or another. If "most" stayed, the temples would be full every day, with a line outside waiting to get in. If "most" stayed, home teachers would only be assigned one family. If "most" stayed, chapels would be full every Sunday.

"Most" stay is wishful thinking. Actually, most leave.

I know Christianity better than you, and I am not interested in your ignorance masquerading as informed opinion. Holy Joe was a narcissist, a manipulator, a charlatan and a philanderer. Accept it and move on.

My good moron,

Please delineate the fraudulent characteristics of my church. Then I will respond to your inanity.

I would ask you if Jehovah has not in all ages tried His people by the power of Lucifer and his associates; and on the other hand, has He not tried them and proved them by His Prophets? Did the Lord actually want Abraham to kill Isaac? Did the Prophet Joseph want every man's wife he asked for? He did not, but in that thing was the grand thread of the Priesthood developed. The grand object in view was to try the people of God, to see what was in them. If such a man of God should come to me and say, "I want your gold and silver, or your wives," I should say, "Here they are, I wish I had more to give you, take all I have got." A man who has got the Spirit of God, and the light of eternity in him, has no trouble about such matters.--Jedidiah Grant, February 19, 1854. (See Journal of Discourses, vol. 2)

Holy Joe didn't want every man's wife he asked for, just some of them.

1:23 The land of Egypt being first discovered by a woman, who was the daughter of Ham, and the daughter of Egyptus which in the Chaldean signifies Egypt, which signifies that which is forbidden...--Holy Joe, Book of "Abraham."

Anyone who knows Greek knows what a load of horse**** this is.

This is the religion Jason Bourne clings to and has the temerity to equate with Christianity.

That's not what he said, CC. and that's not what Antishock said.

Christianity, whether orthodox, Catholic, or Protestant, has it's own murky history. If you don't know this, a little study would be in order.
