See link below to ABC report about Utah's propensity to land either at the top or the bottom of state rankings in various categories/polls (i.e., a recent list put Utah at the top for online porn subscriptions).

ABC News report: Utah, land of extremes ...
"Moving beyond apologist persuasion, LDS polemicists furiously (and often fraudulently) attack any non-traditional view of Mormonism. They don't mince words -- they mince the truth."

I think this highlights the paradox of Mormonism, which is why many of us find it so fascinating.

It would be interesting to list these various studies and determine whether the results were based on hard data or self reporting. For example, as far as I know the study regarding Depression measured actual prescriptions for antidepressants, whereas the Happy study was self reporting. My guess is that if people self reported porn viewing, Utah would come in dead last.

Perhaps the Happy people are the same ones who use the antidepressants.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.
