If Woody Allen can do it, why not Joseph Smith?

God has the right to create and to destroy, to make like and to kill. He can delegate this authority if he wishes to. I know that can be scary. Deal with it.

I think the word you mean is ephebophile - having a preference for adolescents.

I would agree with the second (somewhat) but not the first. The two are not synonymous terms.

But defining a teenager as a "child" is a problem, because there is a huge difference between actions with a youth of sixteen and a child of five.

Perhaps a better term than "child molester" would be "statutory rapist," much like Warren Jeffs.

Fanny Alger, and 'adopted daughter' caught in bed with Joseph while under 16 years old. Who screws their 'adopted daughter'?

Joe,

Krose is correct insomuch that Smith's anti-social behavior would be classified as statutory rape. Child molestor is a term generally used for those violent predators of children of prepubescent age.

Because of the wide age expanse of his victims, I assume that he wasn't particulary focussed upon teenagers, so much as he was interested in sexual relations with postpubescent women.

Either way, the guy was an opportunist dirtbag.

If he were a real man of character, he would have chosen death by flaming sword than to break his sacred marriage vows. If there are such things as tests in this life, that would be the one he failed.

No pass here.
