That's generous. I thought more like 20 pounds.

Seriously? 20 pounds off of her would look borderline anorexic... but that's what we're used to seeing at these sort of contests and photo shoots. Maybe that's why I'm marrying a Latina. I like some curves.

No doubt.

I am trying desperately to imagine this before 1978 ...
- Whenever a poet or preacher, chief or wizard spouts gibberish, the human race spends centuries deciphering the message. - Umberto Eco
- To assert that the earth revolves around the sun is as erroneous as to claim that Jesus was not born of a virgin. - Cardinal Bellarmine at the trial of Galilei

that was hilarious neworder.

My favorite quote:

"I know I wouldn't have won without it (the Lord's help). I told the Lord if I were fortunate enough to win, I would try to set an example for others. I'm so, so grateful."

For the upcoming Miss Teen USA competition on July 31 in the Bahamas, she'll have a dress made for the evening gown event, one she can design to her standards.

I’m wondering why she didn’t want to set the example for the church’s modesty standards by choosing Christian swimwear.

From the Christian swimwear site:

The Bible encourages women to dress in "modest apparel" and also says that "it is good for a man not to touch a woman". We all know that men are mainly stimulated by sight, and women by touch. I believe that these guidelines are given to us by God for our own protection. Our sexuality is something that is very special and was given to us by God to share with our spouse. I know that our culture would not agree with this, but I do not speak for our culture. This is what I believe to be true from God's Holy Inspired Word, the Bible. But God has also given us free wills. We can choose to treasure and save our bodies, or to expose ourselves for anyone to see.

The Bible doesn't give exact guidelines as to what type of garment is modest and what is not, so we need to use common sense and ask the Lord for discretion.
Would this outfit stimulate a man in a way that we wouldn't wish?

You're crazy!

Either that, or I should have been born 40 years earlier when people could still tell the difference between a concentration camp victim and an attractive female body.

I'll never understand why this generation has turned women with little boy's bodies into paragons of female physical perfection.

Where's Rita Hayworth when you need her to demonstrate what perfection really is?

Edited to add:

If I didn't already have cause to suspect it, this confirms it beyond doubt: You have serious issues.

Take 20 lbs. off that poor girl and you couldn't even make broth with what was left.

LOL. Nice to see you here, Will. Hope you stick around. Unfortunately for most of the next four days I'll not be online as much, due to work commitments. The Aussie cabbie has to work 14 hours tonight, and 16 hours on Sunday.

by the way, Happy Easter, Will.

If obeying the word of wisdom makes boobs that big and beautiful I think more women should follow the word of wisdom.
