I doubt the silicone suspicions are likely, she is only 17 - no respectable plastic surgeon would siliconize a child who is still growing. Besides, I would say there is a fair amount of padding in that bikini.

Looking at the photos, she came out onstage OK, but quickly starting gripping her umbrella and wielding it protectively - she doesn't look too comfortable with the twopiece. They didn't waste too much time looking for a less revealing bikini! some of her rivals are more modestly attired. That's what happens when you select an inflatable or chicken fillet top - they don't usually combine coverage and enhancement in the same style. Her mom must be crazy.

Years ago I was in a stake which had an abundance of LDS actors. One of the actresses on Baywatch was LDS, and she was asked to give a fireside. Things went great until she gave out autographed swimsuit pics of herself afterwards. The parents weren't thrilled, but the young men thought it was the best fireside ever.

Modesty is an interesting issue in the Church. While I am generally in favor of it, especially for teenagers (and younger), I think it's easy to go overboard on the emphasis to the point of it becoming counterproductive.
