Oh my goodness. Aspestosman?

Yes, even smart people say dumb things sometimes.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

Even more so, I find you disgusting.

Which is probably nothing new, for you. And which is probably why you seek the validation of male posters so earnestly.

It's a sad, sad life harmony lives.

That's okay, GoodK. There's usually an underlying reason, when men feel the need to abuse women in power. Perhaps some counseling would not be remiss. LDSSS has openings, I'm sure, and I believe they use a sliding scale.

I have one, complete with spouse, children, grandchildren, career, friends, and lunch with the governor.

You, on the other hand? Well, let's just say I'm not the one throwing good money away on frivolous lawsuits.

Nightingale:

That kind of comment makes you laugh? Sheesh.

That kind of comment constitutes haute culture on this message board, my dear. As they say, “Quando in Roma, si fa come i Romani.” Or, in other words, it’s necessary to adapt your material to the audience.

If I didn't know you were a Mormon I wouldn't know you were a Mormon, someone who supposedly has scriptures to follow about how to treat all of God's children.

That’s so … [sniff] … touching … it almost registers on my guilt sensor.

But not quite.

I’ve learned how to treat “God’s children” from my own four. And when a good smack upside the head is required, a kind word and a gentle touch will not supply its place.

I want you to be my missionary. Not.

Good. I had no intention to attempt to proselytize you. You can go straight to hell in a handbasket for all I care. Give harmony a hug when you get there.

Please tell me you are not nor have you ever been nor will you ever be in a position of leadership in your church.

Oh, quite to the contrary, my lovely. I’ve been in bishoprics, high councils, stake presidencies, taught gospel doctrine for years, played the organ for the past decade. I even bake and bring the sacrament bread each week. I’m a regular “stalwart” in my little corner of Zion – dearly loved and highly respected, despite my several personal shortcomings. You see, unlike the hypocritical, disbelieving SOBs that congregate on message boards such as this one, real Latter-day Saints don’t require their prophets nor their fellows to be perfect specimens of righteousness and piety. They are willing and able to “take ‘em as they come.” And, over the course of a long life of activity and service in the church, the rough edges of even the most uncultivated tend to get chipped off little by little until they become a polished gem. I suppose the members of my ward and stake are still clinging to their faith that I’m making progress.

That kind of comment, accompanied by a big yuk, tells me all I ever need to know about you.

Altrettanto.

Yes, my suggestion should apply equally to Daniel Peterson. Again, the purpose of my suggestion isn't to remove anyone's legal rights. The purpose is to cut down on the number of lawsuit threats we get. It kills the board.

I find legal bullying distasteful, but in the past it hasn't been a ban-worthy offense so I don't think there's a moderation bias in that regard.

True, but I think it's worth keeping in mind that Dr. Shades originally said that participation here meant you lost your right to sue another on thie board. I think he was on to something, but went about it the wrong way. He said it's unenforceable. Even if it were legally enforceable, I think it's wrong to to try to limit someone's legal rights. I think the proper way is to ban participants who resort to such things, even if it's for a good reason.

Sewers indeed. I grant that sewers help with sanitation, but I wouldn't want to be anywhere near them.
That's General Leo. He could be my friend if he weren't my enemy.

Willy, you implied that I needed to provide examples of your vulgar tasteless, rude and crude behavior and then you provide the perfect example right on que.

How does a foul mouthed pig like you get a TR?
I think it would be morally right to lie about your religion to edit the article favorably.

Easy. Unlike harmony, I answer the questions truthfully.

I have yet to hear the question asked:

- Do you refrain from hurling gratuitous insults at lying-ass apostates on anti-Mormon message boards?

When and if they start including that particular proviso, I'll make the decision to reform or go without. Until then, shut your fat pie hole. :surprised:

And if you think the example you cite above is "foul-mouthed" -- well, junior, I need to introduce you to some of my really rough friends. You've obviously lived a very sheltered life up there in Spudville. You need to hang out with some of the local stockmen a little; let them broaden your horizons.

It's apparently not a problem for Will S. He is happy in the knowledge that his peers don't expect perfection and he's willing to exemplify the state of non-perfection.

He does a great job of it.
