Why Kish-Kish,

How could you even begin to make such a suggestion when you know quite well of my steadfast loyalty to the family?

Ah! The REAL Family!
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

As Dean of Cassius University, I assure you that Doctor Scratch indeed holds a phd from our institution. In fact, our scientists are working on the technology to produce actual, physical diplomas. If they succeed, Doctor Scratch will be the first to be awarded one.

Kishkumen, look behind you and behold the set of prints embossed in the path from whence you have tarried, are they your own? My friend, I have never left you.

I will admit that I am very conflicted about posting here, and my post for the thread I started last night I have not changed my mind on.

But while I decide what I want to do, I should at least acknowledge Doctor Scratch's academic accomplishments. And before he goes another direction, I would like to offer him a professorship. This will be a professorship of Mopologetic Studies, and the offer is made with a guarantee of tenure effective on the day of start.

It will take me a while to adjust. I only read the first part of a posters name to know what's going on...so when I read "Mister" it meant Scratch was posting, and when I read "Doctor" it meant Stuess was posting. Now "Doctor" means Scratch is posting? My life is in a tailspin.

Well, I hope you can reconcile yourself to applying your talents to the worthy cause that you recently vacated here. It would be a great loss to MDB and will undoubtedly cause you heartache. One can't deny one's nature without consequences.

A worthy post, which he ought to accept, but only if it involves lots of lab and field work. I would hate to see his endeavors reduced to theory alone.

Actually, the facilities were closed a while back. The university though, is in the process of reorganizing. Currently, we work out of Las Vegas Nevada, and rent office space from one of the local buildings.

We haven't heard from Doctor Scratch yet. I'm a little nervous that FARMS has counter offered, and I can imagine their package is impressive. Their proposed facility will be the best and most luxurious office space in the valley --- tough to compete with. Some of their faculty have negotiated a thousand dollars per lecture. With 4 levels of parking, they've probably offered you your own space. They have their own press, ties to the billion-dollar++ Church itself, the archives, and the prestigious secret brotherhood which has been referred to as Skinny-L, or sometimes L-Skinny.

I know we can't compete with all that yet. But give us a chance. You're getting in on the ground floor as our top Professor. Just think of the possibilities. In the future, I hope to make a position ready for Kishkumen. And once our facility has been built, you'll have your own floor and two parking places. Until then, in addition to what I've already offered, I can see to it that your suite has its own hot tub, and that you are provided with a custom pipe and smoking robe that bears the symbols of the university. I can also see to it that your breakfasts and lunch are delivered to your office daily. Fresh Lobster, Shrimp, crab, and white wine. I'm pretty sure you won't get that from FARMS. But you never know, they have a way of "interpreting" the scriptures in their favor.

One of my minions has suggested that Tommy Monson might offer Dr. Scratch a leadership position in Church Security. Using his skills and resources for gathering information, he could put all of the critics of the LDS Church out of business in no time. They could offer him cutting edge technology and a government-trained task force to assist him in tracking down critics, surveillance of them, and silencing them in secret detention centers around the world.

Your offer sounds very promising, and I agree that all efforts should be focused on securing a contract with Doctor Scratch. You don't want to lose him to the other side!

Dr. Robbers,

Yes. Yes, I accept your offer. How could I not? And you needn't supply me with all of that luxury. I wish instead for all of the money to be funneled back into the cause. All I ask is that you pay me my normal salary. Sure, I won't be teaching much, or doing very much academic research. But, you should continue to pay me for that anyhow. My actual work will involve Mopologetic.... eh, "field work." But, the institute should purchase my teaching time. In no way should a single dime of my salary ever be paid to me for doing counter-Mopologetics. My salary should be 100% for being a Professor of Mopologetic Studies. Sure, I'll accept the occasional honorarium for editing, speaking, and administration, but I don't consider that to be counter-Mopologetics. So, we'll be able to operate with completely clear and clean consciences. No one will ever be able to accuse us of accepting as much as $20,000!

What selfless dedication! To think that he could have had all of the money, power, and pleasure he wanted, but out of a love for the greater good, he has chosen to forgo it all. I am speechless.

Should the day arrive that I am offered a job at what will prove a fine institution of lovely human beings, I would certainly accept.
