If you're basing your entire judgment on the fact that they guy has published some stuff with FARMS and was once associated with the Covey organization, you should probably prepare yourself for that possibility.

I would wager that my mind is more open to contradiction than yours may ever be. On the topic of Mormonism, my conclusions are not predetermined to come out one way.

- Chap sometimes posts as LoaP.
- Truth Dancer posts on another board as "Mother Teresa"
- Mercury and Gad are the same.
- BCSpace is really Keene.
- Mercury is really just Mercury (even though he's really Gad).
- Tarsky posts occasionally as Roger (if he's feeling good) and sometimes as antishock (if he's pissed at something).
- Jak and Tak are the same yet different.
- Droopy and CC share half a brain, and they're constantly fighting over it.

That's the inside scoop right there. Everyone else is who they say they are.

Thanks for clearing this up, Schmo. I've long had those very suspicions about JAK and TAK.

I confess, ill-considered litigation aside, things have been more amusing around here as late. I wonder if this trend will continue?

Needless to say, I have no real involvement in any of this, but I am intrigued by recent developments. The departure of Scratch was a real blow, and now GoodK's threat to sue Mr. Peterson. I have to say I am more torn about this. Of course, I am no fan of Mr. Peterson and his rhetorical smoke and mirrors, but I fear that there will be nothing but losers in any legal action involving discussions here.

I am generally happy that I had nothing to do with any of this. Indeed, I feared that something like this might happen. I figure the best policy would be to stay out of it, but there is something that greatly intrigues me as someone who abhors Utah Mormon culture and its multi-level-marketing soul. I am intrigued by the psychology of GoodK, whom I genuinely believe to be a victim of Mormonism.

The question is, who is the primary offender? Sure, we can vaguely pin the blame on Mormonism, but someone had to be the one to administer the pain and suffering more directly. My guess is that Mr. Peterson is the target of hostility that might actually be more fairly directed at someone else. That person just might be GoodK's stepfather.

I did a little research on this fellow and found, if I am right, that he is tangled up in two troubling streams of Mormon culture: Coveyism and Mopologetics. Indeed, he is something of a motivational speaker, earning thousands of dollars to inspire people to be "real leaders." All I can say is that GoodK has my utmost sympathies. I hate the snake-oil salesmen of the Moproductivity crowd with their slick gospel of "success" and religious hypocrisy. Covey was a real piece of work, always arriving late, speaking too long, and sipping iced-tea on Sundays in the country club dining room.

Of course, I do not know GoodK's stepfather. I suppose I could be completely wrong. My apologies in advance if I am. My sympathies if I am not. My advice would be to let this DCP thing go. I am so sympathetic to your anger, man. Really. But this is just asking for grief. If there is one thing I have learned about the Mormon aristocracy and their supporters it's this: they will grind you down and make you wish you had never tangled with them.
