The apologists should toss out the missing scroll theory and just go with the catalyst theory. The catalyst theory is their best bet for the Book of Abraham because it cannot be disproven. It relies on faith instead of evidence. TBMs will pick faith over evidence any day. The apologists will lose their argument to the critics and academics, but they will retain the TBM faithful, and that's all they need to do.

Anyone who just read Droopy's recent remark in the other thread has got to read this timeless piece, where he and Schryver prove once again they are two gaffe machines gone wild. I recalled Droopy's claim from two years ago that all the historical evidence supports a missing papyri theory. After making this claim, he ran over to MAD using a different name, begging the apologists over there to help him find these so called evidences. We dismantled every silly piece of evidence that essentially proved the opposite of what he assumed. A year later he ignores the refutation and repeats the same drivel. And now another year later he is doing the same thing. Some people refuse to learn.

Also in this thread, Will offers his usual dishonest when he says there is a "lively debate" about Joseph Smith's interpretations in academia, but that we are just too ignorant about it because we don't read "Egyptological journals." When Trevor pressed him to produce an example, Will hits reverse and says he never said that.

KG, when did you cease being a serious thinker and transform into your present incarnation as a bitter, grasping intellectual hack?

Willima can debate these issues in a cool, rational manner, as contrasted with your endless baiting, insults, and smarm. I wonder why that might be?

Oh, and just for the road, the name "Droopy" has been present at MAD since about 1998. My screen name here, Coggins7, I relinquished for Droopy, so the screen names would be the same a both boards.

I didn't run to MAD. I went there seeking some better education on the issue at one point because that's probably one of the best places for it, and also because I don't trust much of what I receive here to be intellectually reliable (and for good reason, at that).
