We have been on opposite ends of Matthew 5:44 and Leviticus 19:18.

You disagree with the Church on those verses? I don't. Perhaps you also disagree with Matthew 10:34-35, Matthew 23:27, and Romans 1:32?

I don't disagree with the Church on those verses. My disagreement is with you, and the way you have treated some posters in the past, which goes against the grain of both of those scriptures. Most of our disagreements have evolved from you making an unjustified stinging remark to a poster on a personal level when he or she disagrees with a Church stance on something.

When you simply keep your arguments to scriptural references and doctrinal references, we usually have no problem getting along.

There are indeed some posters here who need the same tough love that Jesus (our exemplar) himself doled out.

Well, if Jesus is watching from on high, then I imagine he has things well in hand. My guess is that you are not his appointed disciplinarian, nor a judge in Israel?

Yes, this is the same logic that people use to justify murder... I mean, hell, god is one homicidal maniac. Shouldn't we all follow in his footsteps? Some people deserve it.

Jesus giving tough love is one thing. You thinking you have a right to give it is another.

But guess what BC, you don't have the right. Not one bit. Go read D&C 121 than practice getting the hell off your high horse. Remember, many are called but few are chosen, and you know that unrighteous dominion thing. control and compulsion. Tough love just ain't your place dude.

Surprising to some here, I answered #1.

Sounds disingenuous.

I believe in the restoration, yes. I'm pretty sure Joseph Smith received his appointment from God. Yes, I have it on faith and don't have a lot of proof - but I'm pretty convinced nonetheless. I think Joseph Smith was a great man and there were many both in the church and out who tried to screw him and reck his reputation any way they could.

However, I'm not too happy that white collar men have been ruling the church for generations now and have not allowed blue collar men to preside in the highest offices of the church. I think this is a terrible mistake and that the whole church suffers because of it. I fear, the leaders don't have faith enough to take the names of blue collar men before the Lord and call them to the apostleship. I'd be happy if the Lord would come down and fire all of them and call new apostles and prophets - half of them blue collar and the other half, white.

I'm sick of hearing white collar men preach to me. How boring! And for the record, I'd turn down the calling in a heartbeat.

I chose the fourth option. However, if you had had an option that said, "I believe the divine was and is present in the Restoration movement, including even the life and work of the charlatan Prophet Joseph Smith," I'd have picked that one instead.
