A friend told me tonight that Kris likely has evangelical christians voting en bloc for him. I did a search and it's a possibility. Apparently Danny is also heavily involved in a church.

It puts me off the show if the votes end up being skewed by groups voting for reasons other than talent, whether they be young females who are more likely to vote and will vote for males, or religious individuals. The fact that Adam has made it this far and is openly gay, says he's really got to be much better than the competition.

Tonight the person who should have gone in my opinion was Danny. He was horrible last night, even he acknowledged it. Overall I think Allison has performed better than him.

Hi Marg,
I agree with you. Danny's performance last week was atrocious and we were hysterically laughing watching it. My favorite part was Slash's comments and facial expressions during the mentor session. He knew Danny's performance was awful and was laughing at him.

It's much tougher for a girl to win AL when the guys are talented. If you look at the girls who have won in the past, they were not up against the male talent we see this season.

I can't believe Danny wasn't voted off last week. I hope he goes tonight.

Kris outperformed all of them last night with the song "Heartless." Very smart song choice. It's best to pick songs that suck so you can make them better than the original. Giving him the song "Apologize" (which is the most legally downloaded song ever) was very tough. I can't imagine how he could have made that song his own and better than One Republic.

Adam was disappointing last night but I still think he's the most talented. He started out the song "One" by U2 beautifully, and then launched into his screeching and butchered the rest of it. In the Arerosmith song he had a terrible back up singer who was very distracting. It was too theatrical for me.

Danny had gorgeous vocals on the Joe Cocker song "You are so beautiful" but the arrangement was so old fashioned. He reminds me too much of Taylor Hicks. The Terrance song Paul picked for him was so boring. I hope he is voted off.

Well, it looks like Kris and Adam are in the finals!!!

That's really as it should be. They are the two most talented overall musicians.

I liked Danny. He has a really soulful quality to his voice. I think he has a career, but he is definitely a ballad singer.

Next week should be a really good show! Not sure who to root for. I like them both! Kris is a better musician, but Adam is a better vocalist. Tough choice!

That is exactly the way I felt. The cheesy song co written by Cara is the usual manufactured style music I dislike so I was glad Simon pointed out the song as the problem before giving his critique. Kris's version was preferable of the two, but I would never download that song from either of them.

Adam's performance of the Sam Cooke song was amazing and Kris passionately sang his heart out to "ain't no sunshine." This was the best final I've seen.

I had predicted Kris would be with Adam in the top two in the poll because he makes a connection with me more than any other American Idol artist has before. If I were to compare the entire season of songs Adam and Kris have done, I am more likely to buy an album by Kris. (but I am in love with Adam's studio version of "Mad World" and "tracks of my tears" and downloaded it)

Adam is the better performer and vocalist, but in the end Kris is the one who moves me the most. I don't view American Idol as a singing competition as the judges keep repeating. For me it's about artistry and someone I would pay money to see. Who I would listen to on the radio.
I voted for Kris because I love his style and interpretation of the songs. But it was a tough choice because Adam is an incredible artist. Wish they could both win it.

I think it's going to be very close. Who will all the Danny fans go to? I'm guessing the majority will go with Kris. Many of the older voters I have spoken with do not like Adam and they were previous Danny voters. There were a million votes seperating Adam and Kris last week when Danny was still in it but I didn't hear who the leader was.

To be honest, other than the hype of the moment, it doesn't really matter who wins. They both get record deals and will both sink or swim based on their music.
