What LDS-related things would you be likely to purchase?

Hello folks,

We've all seen the google ads affixed to the bottom of the topmost post of every page.

Unfortunately, many if not most of them relate to things in which the community here isn't necessarily interested.

Seeing this problem, I received the following e-mail from the legal owner of this site:

Hey Shades,

Since you run MormonDiscussions.com I was wondering if I could get your opinion on anything that the members would find valuable. I'd like to have a links page, or ads more targeted so people are actually finding things they would love to buy. Think about it a little, touch base with some people and let me know your ideas.

So, what does everyone think? What sort of ad would you be likelier to click on or otherwise be interested in? I'm thinking along the lines of LDS historical memorabilia or rare items, but that's just me.

The reason I asked is because even though we discuss Mormonism, I don't really think that most of us are going to be interested in buying things dealing with Mormonism.

I think that if marketers really wanted to make some money off of us, they would look at some of the things we discuss in Off Topic. That is where a lot of discuss what we like to do with our spare time, and, frankly, where our money goes.

We're interested in different types of music..movies....You have a bunch of computer geeks on this site.

There are those of us who are Mac fanatics...and others who like Windows. I think both Microsoft and Mac could probably do well advertising here.

How about the Star Wars fan club?
