I think that Bill was just trying to make a comparison. And although his comparison may have been over the top, I don't think that he meant anything bad by it. Perhaps for a moment, Bill got criticitis...it can be rather catchy if one lurks on critic boards. I have seen worse comparison on this board when it comes to Joseph Smith. And no one complains about such comparisons.

If a person is critical of Bill and his comparison, maybe they need to look in the mirror with both eyes wide open. They may be surprised at what they see. A self reflection is usually very revealing.

Bill and Bob are trying to liken criticism of Mormonism to anti-Semitism (erroneously, I might add) as a way of bullying people away from criticizing it. It is a new tactic the Scientologists and others are turning to, and frankly the alacrity of Scientologists for it is very revealing of what it's really all about.

But, for the record, both my wife and I have Jewish grandparents--my great-grandfather was a rabbi; and my wife is sufficiently Jewish to have been gathered up for the "Final Solution."
