bcspace wrote:Yes it did. The article automatically assumes "torture" is bad and pins it on the Mormons whose doctrine is conservative and whose membership is largely conservative. This is Obama-speak for building self serving strawman problems and Obama's election was a clear victory for the terrorists (ostensibly being tortured) because our war on them winds down and the policy becomes one of appeasement and the abandonment of Israel.

But it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know this...

How does following the treaties to which we are a party constitute an abandonment of the war on terror? Do you get your news from anywhere other than WorldNetDaily?

List of things liberal Democrats support (in order of preference)

1. Murder (of the unborn, including in the birth canal)

2. Adultery (as long as it is between consenting adults and no one else is harmed)

3. Gay Sex.

4. Violence (again, against the most helpless and defenseless among us)

5. Grand Theft (only of the money other people earn through honorable productive activities).

6. Fornication (Always)

7. Pornography (A civil right guaranteed under the First Amendment).

8. Beer, coffee, tea (keep going, that's only the short list).

9. Anything else mildly dishonest... (see Congress...)

10. Looking on a woman to lust after her (and young men. See Barney Frank...)

11. Masturbation. (could also be with fornication, but I am being wishful here) (I can't imagine any modern Democrat being against it)

12. Voting Republican or studying, understanding, and supporting the Declaration, Constitution, and Federalist Papers.

13. Torture (of the text of the Constitution within the federal judiciary and at the hands of interrogators at the ACLU and similar subversive institutions).
Nothing is going to startle us more when we pass through the veil to the other side than to realize how well we know our Father [in Heaven] and how familiar his face is to us

That "assumption" is probably based on US and International laws and treaties. Personally, I don't have a problem with torturing terrorist suspect (I watch 24) but it doesn't change the fact that there are laws and treaties that even the US has to follow.

List of things Mormons support (in order of preference)

1. Murder (Mountain Meadows Massacre; also against interracial couples and their innocent children)

2. Adultery (lol Joseph Smith)

3. Gay Sex (Wade Englund and Drooppy sure seem fascinated with it)

4. Violence (again, Mountain Meadows, interracial couples and their children; also against homosexuals, according to Elder Packer.)

5. Grand Theft (If a member's income is above a certain threshold).

6. Fornication (lol Joseph Smith)

7. Pornography (Actually, Mormons aren't in favor of letting people do harmless things that don't affect other people. Way to take a stand, guys!).

8. Beer, coffee, tea (See above.)

9. Anything else mildly dishonest... (lol Book of Abraham, gold plates, seer stones, Lamanite DNA, Book of Mormon anachronisms...)

10. Looking on a woman to lust after her (lol Joseph Smith)

11. Masturbation. (Who needs masturbation when other men's wives are plentiful?)

12. Voting Republican or studying, understanding, and supporting the Declaration, Constitution, and Federalist Papers (Uh, what? I guess Droopy messed up here).

13. Torture (see OP).

14. Racism (Denial to blacks of equal standing in Church)

At least over here we can discuss the practical application of the gospel. Over there, we can't unless you only want the left wing pov. That would violate "opposition in all things". So here we are.

So you made the same comment on more than two boards? Really?

Really. You started the thread on two or more boards. So?
