The only criticism Scratch ever had was to decisions in ellipsing, which Bagley never said was offensive or misleading. Scratch's analysis was purely disingenuous.

At least when God told Joseph Smith all the other professors of religion had become corrupt (quoting Isaiah), He used his own name.

My post may have been blunt, but the "allegations," salacious or not, are well-attested. I may be throwing turds, but they're genuine.

I think most of us were HIGHLY suspicious of claims regarding Joseph Smith's behavior, most of us not only didn't believe them we didn't want to believe them.
