I'm sure that the pat answer from the Bob and BC peanut gallery will be that John's resources are somehow "anti-Mormon".

If it looks bad for ol' Joe, they must be, right?

It is nearly spotless, and in particular in that topic. I have yet to see any published rebuttal to my two published pieces pointing out any flaws other than minor typos.

There have been plenty of rebuttals on this and other bb's.

The only criticism Scratch ever had was to decisions in ellipsing, which Bagley never said was offensive or misleading. Scratch's analysis was purely disingenuous.

Actually, the ellipses debacle was one of the more misleading parts of your essay.

Rollo attempted an attack on the MAD board and got nowhere.

My recollection is that my response showed your essay to be full of holes and misleading claims.

Pretty easy for you to malign someone's reputation, anonymously? No? But, I'm being repetitive.

No one maligned you -- just your analysis in the essay. If you can't take the heat ... and all that, Bishop.

Why don't you go over to a board discussing Judaism and throw some turds on their faith? It would give you the same satisfaction wouldn't it? You and John are in very very good company.

This is a Mormon discussion board, Bishop.

If there is a God in heaven, surely he would condemn this particular behavior.

Look in the mirror, Bob.

Anonymous attacks upon faith weak people hold so dear.

One-note Bob strikes again!

At least when God told Joseph Smith all the other professors of religion had become corrupt (quoting Isaiah), He used his own name.

But, yet, early versions of the D&C used all sorts of code names for Joseph and other leaders. Go figure ....

He wasn't referring to you, bc. I mean, who would believe that you could get some even by paying for it?

Are we to imply bc is buy-sexual?????
I think it would be morally right to lie about your religion to edit the article favorably.

If someone were to make similar claims about almost anyone who posts here, I'd also be highly suspicious of the claims. I think we live in a society where we're too quick to believe salacious allegations. Duke Lacrosse players anyone?

My post may have been blunt, but the "allegations," salacious or not, are well-attested. I may be throwing turds, but they're genuine.

I think the original source of these turds is someone else's fertile imagination.

Or maybe that's fertilizer imagination.

Hi Asbestosman,

I think most of us were HIGHLY suspicious of claims regarding Joseph Smith's behavior, most of us not only didn't believe them we didn't want to believe them.

Yep, it definitely sucked to find out that they were true. Apparently, that means we're "maligners."
