That is only for the Ivory Tower Top Tier. For the military wing, one must demonstrate their willingness to display a 'get down and dirty - fight them in the trenches' kind of courage under fire. This is left to brave ones like Pahoran, Selek, Juliann and several others. If not for the tireless support of these soldiers, the Ivory Tower Top Tier would not be able to function in the same manner.

Excellent observation, moksha. I wonder where Kerry Shirts fits in all of this. Is he perhaps the Radar O'Reilly of this unit? Or perhaps the Little Drummer Boy?

Kevin, do you by any chance know why Barksdale was forced out? Did the Mopologists have a legitimate reason for booting him, or was it more just a matter of juliann's whim?
He was accused of mishandling funds. I don't know the extent of the crime his guilt or innocence. I can tell you that there were others who felt Darryl got a raw deal. I remember sitting at the FAIR conference in 2001, and LDS scholar Roger Cook was sitting next to me and we talked through the entire thing. He didn't particularly like FAIR because of that incident, and he was talking about starting his own apologetic organization, and he was trying to get me to do the website for it. I didn't ask the details about the Barksdale incident, because I didn't really care at the time. I was trying to listen to the presentations, but the dude wouldn't shut up. He was whispering n my ear the whole time about crazy crap. He reminded me of Chris Tolworthy with his weird theories. I remember he was trying to make some argument for another apostasy based on timelines between the first Christian apostasy from theosis, and some pseudo-doctrinal statement made by Stephen Robinson.
We really need you former apologists--not my kind, who were apolosers, but the kind who really did something--to get together your remembrances of your time on the inside. It would very helpful to us all, I am sure.
