I think Reuben Stoddard and Taylor Hicks would agree.

I hit redial for two hours for Kris Allen and got through almost every time on the 06 line. My votes may have won it for him.

I had a feeling Kris would win it yesterday but it was still surprising to hear his name called. He looked genuinely shocked.

I have to admit I felt kind of guilty inside to see Adam lose last night. It felt wrong. Adam is a phenomenal performer and was the star all season but his theatrical style must have annoyed enough people for Kris to win it. I was torn over who to vote for.

Kris's style of music just appeals to a wider range of people. Cara said it best about how every time he sings, we feel a special connection to him. That's how I felt, especially when he sang the beautiful Oscar winning ballad "Falling Slowly."

I loved Allison's performance last night.

You didn't see it coming because you live on the west coast. Adam lost because Kris was from Arkansas. Crazy as it sounds, I'm pretty sure it is true. People here were voting like crazy! I have a high school friend who figured out how to speed text on her new cell phone. Guess how many votes she texted on Tuesday night. OVER 9000!! Do the math, 38 million votes from a state that has only 2.8 million people? Arkansas totally tipped the scales with their insane voting! You see, Arkansas has very few celebrities they can claim as their own, which makes this is a very very big deal! They sunk their teeth into Kris Allen like a pit bull and didn't let go until he had the title!

I like Kris Allen a lot (he really is adorable), but I am completely in love with Adam. He is beyond amazing! He had the most talent, hands down. I'm not disappointed that he lost, though. It is just as well; he will do better without A.I. controlling him anyway.

Ok, I just heard that AT&T says that they never released a state by state break down of the votes, and that someone made up the 38 million number. So there are some inaccuracies in my previous statement.

Tuesday nights are so boring now without American Idol.

Does anyone know the correct details about Arkansas allowing free texting and how this may have influenced the win for Kris? That would explain why people were texting 9,000 times.

I heard on this show, that the votes weren't even close so who knows if it would have mattered but I was curious.
