This is false. The thread Shades linked to shows posts in June 2007 so it's less than a year. And is this MAD or something where there is an "asked and answered" policy? If a topic comes up once, no one can ever bring it up again?

You had asked me (based on a post I made on the original thread) if I thought your mother was still culpable. In response to your question "Did she hand him the coat hanger" , I said it was my opinion when the original thread took place that she handed him you, unsupervised.

I've just had a look at the article linked to in the original thread here. I know without question, I had read more than this just one article. However, let's use this one part of the article that has been linked to here:

A lawsuit Robert recently filed against the Utah-based Mormon church in Washington federal court alleges that Joe violated him in an apartment room, a swimming pool, a steam bath at Sand Point Naval Air Station (the Scoutmaster was in the Navy), and a Motel 6 in Issaquah.

Robert, if you don't want to pursue this, just tell me. I will go with whatever you choose. In the above there are named at least 4 locations that are not church property. I don't recall any of these incidents being scout related.

1. Were they scout related?
2. If not, how is it that you ended up going with him to these 4 locations?

Again, if you don't want to discuss this, tell me. I'll honor whatever choice you make. If you say "stop", I will stop.

If I was looking for a therapeutic response, I would not be looking for it here. Nor am I looking for sympathy, compassion would be nice. As to the revelation of my abuses, they were posted way before I came along. So, how could I wait your day or two? As stated it's been 2 years????

We don't do therapy here, Rob. This is not a safe place for disclosure or anything remotely therapeutic.

I live with these horrors everyday.

We all live with our own horrors every day. Did you think you were the only who was ever abused by someone they trusted? If we didn't get over it, we found a way to live with it without bombarding strangers with it. Usually we wait until we know someone for a day or two before we tell them of our rapes, our alcoholism, our abusers.

You all had a good poke at this story, why not get the truth? Or is it more pleasant for you to make comments out of turn, about something you know nothing about? Those comments would be about my history and character.

It helps to know who your friends are, or at least who isn't your enemy. You don't know us, we don't know you, and there are no comments "out of turn" on this board. We say what we think, and if you can't stand the heat, then get the hell out of the Terrestial kitchen. Celestial might be more comfortable for you than here in Terrestial where almost anything goes.

I'll go back through that article you used (from the original thread here), but there was more to it, as I recall. My recollect could be in error.

After a reread of that portion of the article I see that it does not specifically state that the incedent described was the first occurance of the abuse. It does lead one to that assumption the way the story is laid out. I see it as a failure by the reporter to be clear on this. Sloppy writing. You could be correct. Perhaps Robert may place this particular incedence in its proper chronological slot for us.

No, it was me that was confused and sloppy in my writing. I think that the coat hanger incident was the very last.

I am prepared to answer any question. Thank you for your concern!

First the appartment room. It was not a room as you think. It was an a appartment building with a indoor swimming pool. We the scouts and I were there to earn our swimming merit badge. We were to jump in at one point fully clothed and tred water for a specified time. Then learn how to use wet clothes as floatation. Joe, was a friend of the person who lived in that appartment building and also a member of the church. I was not the only one abused at this location and during this event.

Before we go on, you may want to know Joe has been in jail in the midwest for child molestion and the Church knows of 10+ boys he has abused. (In several states)

Joe likes swimming pools, hence the one at the appartment building, the Naval Station and the Batismal Font. The appartment room and swimming pool mentioned in the paper I assume are one in the same. Unless it was speaking of the one at the Sandpoint Naval Station. Which also had the steam room behind it.

The Motel 6 incedent was a ruse. I was called to babysit his children. He had other plans, stating he had an argument at home and we would make a night of it. I and my mother did not know of this till I was on the freeway (I90), hence the kidnapping.

While the last was not "Church" related, the Church knew of his previous actions and took no steps to warn me or my mother.
