My main concern, right now, is that you have a chance to tell your story if that is what you most need to do.

First the appartment room. It was not a room as you think. It was an a appartment building with a indoor swimming pool. We the scouts and I were there to earn our swimming merit badge. We were to jump in at one point fully clothed and tred water for a specified time. Then learn how to use wet clothes as floatation. Joe, was a friend of the person who lived in that appartment building and also a member of the church. I was not the only one abused at this location and during this event.

Why didn't any of the boys tell, Robert? Or did they tell and were ignored? Was he alone with the group?

Before we go on, you may want to know Joe has been in jail in the midwest for child molestion and the Church knows of 10+ boys he has abused. (In several states)

Good. He left you in a mental jail. He deserves nothing less than physical jail and deserves alot more than that.

Joe likes swimming pools, hence the one at the appartment building, the Naval Station and the Batismal Font.

The baptismal font (to my knowledge) is something that was not in any article that I'd read.

How did that happen, Robert? Were you alone with him? How did he manage to get you alone in the Ward building. (I'm assuming that you are NOT talking about the font in the Seattle Temple, but the Ward baptismal font)

The appartment room and swimming pool mentioned in the paper I assume are one in the same. Unless it was speaking of the one at the Sandpoint Naval Station. Which also had the steam room behind it.

I think the article was poorly worded. My impression is that it was talking about an apartment AND a steam room. Plus the swimming pool.

The Motel 6 incedent was a ruse. I was called to babysit his children. He had other plans, stating he had an argument at home and we would make a night of it. I and my mother did not know of this till I was on the freeway (I90), hence the kidnapping.

The articles NEVER say that, Robert. They also never say that the swimming pool incident had anything to do with a scouting activity. THAT'S why I thought your mom was allowing him to have access to you to go to different places that had nothing to do with scouts. That's why I thought your Mom was responsible. I'm sorry. I apologize to you for that.

I thought they had changed things to help prevent these abuses in the future. Are they still missing the boat? What precise steps could they take in addition to what they have done?

I think the biggest change was simply acknowleging that a probem exists, however if I remember right, it had to do with windows on all classroom doors and women needing to be present for male teachers and children. Also heightening awareness of this problem is something too.

I do remember much discussion revolving around the still current practice of Bishops discussing personal sexual matters with young girls.

Was that established in court? That the church/bishop knew of his past, and called him to be a scout master? Because that alone would be grounds for a lawsuit, and a huge settlement.
