I wish I knew what the hell that was supposed to mean. Seriously.
Nightlion wrote:So I got no problem with you being a prick. Merc tambian.
Well, strictly speaking, I've got no problem with you being a lunatic. I was actually trying to offer some advice if you're serious about your "mission."
Nightlion wrote:Your not waffleing and feeling guilty now are you? Slipping on your thoughts of banana peels? Hmmm?
Waffling? What in my post gave you that idea? I put the same amount of credence in the idea of flying pink elephants as I do god/satan. That's unlikely to change until I'm presented with concrete evidence. I don't think that's too much to ask.

Probably thought he could not lose if I ever mentioned it that would cast a satisfactory doubt over me in the eyes of the people. He had to take a shot. Never came back again for what? nearly forty years now.
I'm pretty sure there's medication you can take to help get your hallucinations under control. Maybe someone's been slipping it into your water, which would explain why Satan hasn't been back, although I’d worry if I were you about any god visitations you’re experiencing.
Nightlion wrote:Your intellectually stylized prejudice cannot Trump experience. My experience with God is abundant and proven consistent with the witnesses down through the ages.
Think so? Experience is useless if you misinterpret what happened. Tingly feelings don't generally equal experience with a god. Otherwise, I've had an experience with god every time my leg feel asleep, or coming home from the dentist.
And am I prejudiced against people who say they've seen god? Not really. If they tell me that, my judgment comes after the fact.
Nightlion wrote: You cannot appreciate what ignoramouses you and Merc are to the likes of me.
It's completely true that I am ignorant about you. So what? You are ignorant of me too, but it doesn't seem to stop you from commenting on what I type here.
Nightlion wrote:Your learned confidence is just that, something you learned, like how to ride a one trick pony. But it is more fun at times to clash with those who sling with vigour than prod against lukewarmitude.
One trick pony? You mean like the idea of religion itself? There is far more originality from critical thinking people who consider the evidence at hand for what it is rather than buying the rubbish a preacher has to tell them.
Is there a reason why I should not be confident in the idea that someone should present testible evidence if they expect others to believe their claims? Sorry, but I don't believe anyone's story without evidence, or at the very least, it should be plausible.
I'm not sure what's more dubious, the people who say "ya gotta have faith" or the ones who actually think they have proof of god from visions/visitations. At least the faith folks don't seem quite as nuts.
