Why are you so upset, LoaP? Or, is this supposed to be your attempt at TBM "humor"?

I wonder what Liz would be out here-- let's see, not 10% of her income, she didn't have to sleep with me, I didn't tell her an angel drew a sword to force her to believe, there's a whole lot of things that I haven't done, that the man you praise as second to Christ would have. So if I did lie, which I didn't, then I'd say I'm one of the nicer charlatans around.

I agree Gad, Loap and DCP spend copious amount of time defending and supporting a "spoof", one which perpetuates enormous costs to individuals in terms of time commitment, financial expense and in many cases emotional hardship. It is very difficult for me to believe they don't appreciate this. They may claim they don't appreciate the con job by Smith and friends but I don't believe them.

If they are so concerned about honesty they should take a look at themselves and what they are doing.

I do think, however, Gad's lying to board members isn't particularly funny myself,

You can attack me with words over and over again, it will be good training for your career choice as an apologist. It doesn't make your words true. However, if you were telling the truth, and if this were a ruse and I had been "lying", then I'd find it downright hilarious. Had this been a ruse, I would have PM'd any innocent bystanders that I felt needed to know. Something I doubt you thought about.

so to see him saying he's laughing about it was a small disappointment.

If Trevor cares if you are disappointed in him, he needs therapy. I'll set up an appointment with Reverend Kishkumen.

Anyway, I'm done with this topic. I'll let you and your friend rail against me with righteousness to your hearts content, hey, you ought to start up a thread over at MAD telling everyone about it!

See you guys next year at the conference, you can eat my dust because I made a couple of phone calls today, my time slot is confirmed, and I've bargained for the theme successfully. It's gonna be a good one.
Lou Midgley 08/20/2020: "...meat wad," and "cockroach" are pithy descriptions of human beings used by gemli? They were not fashioned by Professor Peterson.

LM 11/23/2018: one can explain away the soul of human beings...as...a Meat Unit, to use Professor Peterson's clever derogatory description of gemli's ideology.

For any who may imagine that Gadianton might be telling the truth here: He's not. He's lying.

But it's a funny lie, though, see?

I just called the White House and invited myself onto Obama's cabinet as the Secretary of Awesome.

The Internet is an amazing construction, lots of tubes and such. I bet you could even find a definition of "satire" in one of those tubes.
We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.

Actually, that wasn't so bad. If Stephen Colbert were to say it, it might just raise a chuckle.

I AM Stephen Colbert, though!

This sort of humor where I just claim things can just keep growing!

OK. So he can't con you twice. I think you have to give Gad his due on this one Daniel. Gad, Scratch and others know how to push your buttons. This time, Gad picked your pocket. Really, it is not that hard to set you up. You get played all the time. A mere suggestion of any inadequacy on your part is all that is required to get the ball rolling.

Personally (and I think Dan would agree) I was very skeptical that Gad was being honest. However, if we wasn't I thought it would be nice to get to know him as a person. I have found those who I thought were the most unreasonable folks online wound up being very nice in person. This is why I attempted to send him a message privately. He elected instead to create a public thread about it and ignore my personal interaction. I didn't believe he was being honest at that point. The conference solidified my own opinion that Gad was not being truthful, and then his subsequent refusal to answer one specific question made it apparent to anyone else who thought he was being honest (like liz, etc.)
