The Root Of Evil/How to transcend
Man is that he might have joy.
Therefore the loss of joy (which is fear) is the root of all evil.
This world is a marvelous test to see who will keep or return to joy against all odds. To recieve a fulness of joy we must transcend fear.
I predict that only the love of God can keep joy perfect against all the conflicts, difficulties and disappointments and perpetrated evil that assail us all. Joy therefore predicts the love of God.
The Budda mind trick of just putting your mind between good and evil is a false joy and a phony transcendence. Natural laws predict that for every force like entropy, or spiritual deterioration in fear, there must be a greater force to hold it off, swallow it up, cast it out and cancel it. Coasting in nuetral does nothing. Might seem like fun for a while.
Evil begins not as much in our own acts but more in the fear that the acts of others are evil. That gets the ball rolling.
Without an Almighty God the natural entropy fear must triumph. Perfect love casts out fear. The existence of joy in the hearts of men proves the existence of God. You think not but you are just ripping God off by leaching joy without worshipping its source.
You'll see.
When we are disappointed and life is difficult we want to blame others.
This mind is rooted in fear. Fear is the root of evil.
Satan began by fear to invent evil in accusing God of being evil, the reason he lost joy.
The logic ends up concluding that fear is the rejection of the love of God and that rejection begins the growth of the root of all evil.
When tempted to fear, or you sense the hairs of it begin to emerge, cast it out by the love of God. This is the discipline of eternal empowerment. Joy. God therefore benefits all of us as a resource to resist fear. That is what we need to thrive. He wants us to thrive.
We want to thrive.

Actually, the scriptures say the love of money is the root of all evil.

Oh! That right! I feel so stupid now.
I'll just take my forty years of solemn and ponderous thoughts and go hence. Sorry I ever bothered here.

No need. I'll bet the Nehor was just being humorous even while being correct.
I agree in that the premise that "Man is that he might have joy" does make the loss of joy THE root of all evil.
Therefore the loss of joy (which is fear) is the root of all evil.
However, I'm not sure the loss of joy must always equate to fear though.

Well, okay, you snagged me back a bit.

Seems like you are a nice chap, permit me to snag you all the way, if you are not LDS or BA Christian.
Give me your email so I can send you missionaries or some Christian Brothers.
But if you are already a firm believer, no need of course.
Peace
