All the more reason to question the existence of Moses. No witnesses.

Why are there no witnesses to the Bible?

What are you talking about? There are hundreds of witnesses to various events in the Bible, especially the crucifixtion. Do you not understand what a witness is, why me?

And lets be honest, if there were witnesses to the first vision, it would not matter. Critics would still be blackening their reputation as they do now with the 11 witnesses to the Book of Mormon.

In other words, you can't provide a reason, and you know it's a problem, so you pull a red herring across the trail, hoping someone will follow it. Not gonna happen, why me. Why are there no witnesses for the single most important event in the Restoration?

You could always ask your bishop...

What makes you think he had any better answer than you did? Why do you think I brought the question here? He didn't know either, but he promised to ponder it.
I intend to lay a foundation that will revolutionize the whole world.

why me wrote:Why are there no witnesses to Moses receiving the tablets?
Because it never happened
Why are there no witnesses to the Bible?
Because its a collection of fairy tales
And lets be honest, if there were witnesses to the first vision, it would not matter.
No, it DOES matter
Critics would still be blackening their reputation as they do now with the 11 witnesses to the Book of Mormon.
Funny thing to call those who state the reality of the situation

You could always ask your bishop...

Why don't you go say the Holy Rosary and attend confession first?
And crawling on the planet's face
Some insects called the human race
Lost in time
And lost in space...and meaning

I have no interest in getting personal with you. Perhaps I misread you. I have read plenty of your posts. My observations lead me to a different conclusion as to how you post but again, it can be hard to tell what someone is feeling through a MB post.

. . .
I am not offended at all.

I don't think so. Otherwise you wouldn't be protesting.

And likewise if you were not hypersensitive about this issue you would not have considered my remarks mockery.

My God is the one talked about in the title page to the Book of Mormon. Is there some other one you would prefer me to worship?

Here is the Title Page to the Book of Mormon:

THE
Book of Mormon

AN ACCOUNT WRITTEN BY

THE HAND OF Mormon

UPON PLATES

TAKEN FROM THE PLATES OF NEPHI

Wherefore, it is an abridgment of the record of the people of Nephi, and also of the Lamanites—Written to the Lamanites, who are a remnant of the house of Israel; and also to Jew and Gentile—Written by way of commandment, and also by the spirit of prophecy and of revelation—Written and sealed up, and hid up unto the Lord, that they might not be destroyed—To come forth by the gift and power of God unto the interpretation thereof—Sealed by the hand of Moroni, and hid up unto the Lord, to come forth in due time by way of the Gentile—The interpretation thereof by the gift of God.

An abridgment taken from the Book of Ether also, which is a record of the people of Jared, who were scattered at the time the Lord confounded the language of the people, when they were building a tower to get to heaven —Which is to show unto the remnant of the House of Israel what great things the Lord hath done for their fathers; and that they may know the covenants of the Lord, that they are not cast off forever—And also to the convincing of the Jew and Gentile that Jesus is the Christ, the Eternal God, manifesting himself unto all nations—And now, if there are faults they are the mistakes of men; wherefore, condemn not the things of God, that ye may be found spotless at the judgment-seat of Christ.

TRANSLATED BY JOSEPH SMITH, Jun.

First English edition published in 1830

This sounds like the only true God to me.
