How to con people out of their money and get away with it

Post by _Mercury »

Taking the lead from MormonCorp, here are my steps to become rich:

1. Establish an investment fund for a non-profit

2. Guilt people into contributing to said fund

3. Purchase assets through this fund and gift it to a separate corporation

4. Sell assets and take the profit

5. Repeat steps until you have a well established real estate company you claim is not spending money from the initial investment fund

6. Run away from the country and live off the interest attained through Property Reserve Inc....I mean...the "separate corporation".

Property Reserve Inc/Intelectual Reserve Inc/etc IS the Mormon "church". Its as simple as that.

Be born into the aristocracy. Unless your blood is pure you can't participate :)

Of course, they are always looking for individuals to contribute to the general fund. Problem is that a return is not guaranteed until you are dead.

That's funny, I don't see anyone making a profit or aggrandizing themselves from tithing funds in the LDS Church. Well, except for that Korean branch pres in LA long ago who misunderstood the concept.....

It makes you wonder exactly how long it will be until they get to the leave the country step. With the Fulton con its obvious that they are planning to get out at some point, because it can't go on forever.

When you think about it, there will come a point where most lower level membership will come to their senses and realize its a con, they will leave the church but in the process will leave billions of dollars in assets to the families that run the church. Liquidating the assets (selling the temples, chapels, etc.) will mean a non-stop profit for the remaining leadership, who can retire very wealthy. Therefore, when it does come time for it to dissolve, it will leave some very wealthy people who can just live off of the interest of the holdings for them and all of their grandchildren to infinity.

Let's say it takes the average mark five years from hearing the missionary discussions to learn the truth about Joseph Smith, the Book of Abraham, etc. and during said time they get an average of $5,000 per mark, and then the ones born into it stay until 30s or 40s, the age will continue to drop with the advent of the internet, pretty soon the pyramid will no longer go on because everyone that could have been marked for 5 years will have been marked, and everyone that could have found out the truth will have found it out, so it will have no choice but to dissolve. When it does dissolve, all assets will revert to those families in charge, who will now rank up there with the Rothschilds and Rockefellers for how rich they are.

When you consider the implications of Mercury's steps, it's just staggering.

Mormons are like Gypsies. They will be around in some form or another, kind of like 'half Pikey' survivalists in the mountains of Utah. I say 50 years from now the prophet will resemble Bo Gritz. They will resemble Fundamentalists if they already don't now.

Possibly. The fundies are what will remain as the Mormons are defined in lockstep with their every move. "If you can't beat em, join em". 23 Skidoo!

Ahh, hustling language. Very apt.

The numbers would be interesting. Gaming the LDS church out of the membership tithing books would be a brass ring of Social Engineering.

When you consider the implications of Mercury's steps, it's just staggering.

That last one was a bit of artistic license. Here is another representation of a possible MormonCorp business plan:

Whomever can profit from Mormonism will profit from Mormonism. This includes Ed Decker.
