The Death of Michael Jackson.
The Death of Michael Jackson.
Farrah Fawcett also died. Here in Oz Jackson's death has, so far, drawn 915 comments on one news-site. On the same site, Farrah Fawcett's death has drawn 71 comments.
I guess, in spite of serious controversy, Jackson will remain an "immortal" to many, like Elvis.
Who's death gave you one of those "I remember exactly where I was at the time I heard the news" moments?
For me, it was the assassination of JFK. Even though I was only nine years old, and had never been to the US.

Great music and dancing with the unfortunate appearance of a pedophile and a freak. My mom would not have allowed me to have a poster of Farah (or Kate or Jaclyn). Couldn't have got away with one of Victoria Principal either.

For me, it was the death of Princess Diana. Sitting in an apartment in Sweden, and about to fly home. I really couldn't believe it.

I have tried to find out what caused the heart attack. Does anyone know?

Sorta kinda, yeah, not officially not yet...autopsy has been completed, toxicology and other types of test results will no be in for 4-6 which is pretty standard.
What's being said is that he received a daily injection of Demerol. Possibly taking other prescription meds/addicted. Lidocaine may have been used during this episod.
His family stated that he received an injection about 40 minutes prior to symptoms (essentially unconscious/not breathing, In other words, dead). I don't know how the family knew that.
The 911 call has a staff member making the call and a doctor (he had a personal house doctor on the premises) doing CPR in the background.
Red flag: Doc is doing CPR on the bed.
Doc apparently performs CPR in the ambulance and hospital even though paramedics say they would have called T.O.D. at this house.
Looks to me like the Doc is in it up to his eyeballs.

Re: The Death of Michael Jackson.
The only reasons I can think of for a doctor to perform CPR on the bed.
1. The bed is actually a board.
2. The bed is actually a hospital bed which isn't out of the realm of possibility.
3. Doc is high as a freakin' kite.
4. Doc is in a panic because he knows he's toast (MJ is toast=doc is toast) on account of the injections --possibly over-prescribed (you don't take Demerol every day of your life) and forgets CPR procedure. In other words, if you're doing CPR on a mattress, instead of compressions it's more like bouncing a ball and nothing is being pumped.
5. Doc knows he's toast (MJ is toast=doc is toast) and is putting on a show (heroic efforts) for those around him. His medically trained word against house staff as to time of death.
I say the doc is beyond toast and well past the crumb stage.
Family attorney made several public statements indicating that drugs/enablers were involved. Says he'll wait for the final autopsy report/lab results before speaking out.

Re: The Death of Michael Jackson.
OP question:
Besides family members...
President Kennedy
Twin Towers
Michael Jackson
(likely because I heard of all of these in "real time" so to speak and followed the events as they were unfolding)
In this case, I heard the news while driving home from work (15 minute drive), by the time I got home, it was all over the television and internet. The first time I checked TMZ it said he was rushed to the hospital. In minutes, they were the first to report that he was dead. That's when I created the other thread here in Old Testament. Perhaps 30 minutes later the other news stations were saying the same.
JB noticed that prior to announcing his death, the news stations (CNN, etc) were speaking of Michael Jackson in past tense.
