Is why me a teacher?

I don't know. But my guess is Marg isn't one, otherwise Dan Peterson wouldn't have made fun of her and laughed in her face.

Yes, Sant Clause is special. I'm sure you used to believe that.

Anyway, I think you and I have come to an understanding.

Yup I believed in Santa up until about the age of 3.

In the above you stated "it's typical that a school teacher would insist that.."

What school teacher were you referring to?

Both Dan and Why Me jumped on Marge at the same time. I figured Dan Peterson and Why Me are two peas in a pod. Perhaps I'm wrong, I often am.

I don't know who made the following "Quote": (That I don't know, has to do with the thoughtlessness  of the poster who referred to it: Marg. Who I hope will not mind me using her as an example of an all too common posting-bad-habit: Assuming everyone reads the minds of all other posters. Ain't so!! Remedy: PLEASE LABEL QUOTES!)

Quote:
Mormonism is in a special class of itself. It makes greater claims than all of the other Christian religions of our day. Not only that, Mormonism is the one religion that claims to prepare a place for the return of the Messiah, that of course being in Jackson County. There are no other Christian religions that make claims on the same level as Mormonism. So, it is special. You can deny it all you want. That's fine by me. (Author unknown to me.)

Absolutely true! Mormonism stands alone! It is by any assessment, special and unique! What makes it so is its arrogant claim of Divine Origin. And its legions of fictional characters brought to life by Joseph Smith, Mormonism's first and foremost. A legend in his own, and our, time.

Unfortuneately, "Special" has little, if any, relevance to correctness. It stands alone, as does LDSism, in a class by itself: peculiar, uncommon and yes, noteworthy. A current useage is in reference to groups, at one time refered to as "handi-capped." Now, instead, the physically and mentally "Challenged" are affectionally refered to as "Special". Yes, Mormonism is Special. Roger

Unfortunately Roger, you should not be using that example and myself because if you look more carefully you will see that I did quote and that it has Paul as being the writer.

 Roger, choking on crow, with egg on face... "SORRY!"

Marg, you are right, I didn't see the name on the first quote--tilt of screen. But, in my state of senility, i might not have taken the leap from the 1st to the 2nd. Can I now count on # 2 being from the same post(er) as #1??

Maybe all of this time I have been upset by my own ignorance!!! But, doesn't it happen, that quotes are posted "nameless"?? Am i digging a deeper hole for myself?
Marg, thanks for your class-way of accepting my Goof... Roger

You are just expecting me to do too much work there Roger. I suppose I could have not included quoting the poster Paul was responding to and that way you wouldn't be confused nor wondering who it is, which would have been easy for me to do or I could have typed their name and that would have avoided making you frustrated.

Given your high praise of Ray last night, I don't mind you being frustrated. In fact things worked out well.
