Re: One credible Archaelogical Book of Mormon find?
Hello,
I find it incredibly disheartening that Mormons are still posting long debunked artifacts as relics of the "Nephite" civilization. There are zero Nephite artifacts. There is nothing that demonstrates there was a civilization that self-described as Nephites, nor is there an archaeological record that establishes their historicity. The Book of Mormon populations have roughly the same longevity of the ancient Greek and Roman hegemonies, and yet there is nothing that establishes the aforementioned populations as having existed. However, in stark contrast there is a plethora of historical writing, cities, and artifacts that irrefutably establishes the Greco-Roman eras as reality.
This should be a sobering wake up for Mormons when it comes to the claims of the Book of Mormon.
Very Respectfully,

Sir,
The two look nothing alike. Why do you insist on promoting a lie? That being said, would you be kind enough to point out the exact similarities between the two images, and then demonstrate through Nephitical historical records (non-Book of Mormon) why your claim is accurate?

The first picture looks like a Bear with jewelry on and the second looks like a Priest from the Greek Orthodox Church.

Re: One credible Archaelogical Book of Mormon find?
I find what is NOT discussed in the Book of Mormon to be most telling:
Maize, tomatoes, squash
Chocolate, lima beans, potatoes
Jaguars, llamas, monkeys
people who lived here already in great numbers
detailed descriptions of temple ceremonies
textiles like those found from as early as 5800 BC in Americas
the unique and creative calendars actually in use
polytheism, Gods/goddesses of sun, jaguar, deat, rain, corn, water, bats,
human sacrifice
a wide variety of languages
arches without keystones
unique music, ceramics, art, body art
These early cultures had enormously unique and varied characteristics that were never mentioned. Why is that?

why me wrote:If anything would prove the Book of Mormon conclusively, god then would be proved. And that is not about to happen.
For after all, you would then become a shining new Mormon but all for the wrong reasons.
So we humans can discover the light of speed, look back 11Billion years back in time with telescopes, observe how the Universe was, and yet God would not give us opportunity to discover truthfulness of his reality & Book of Mormon? No wonder LDS Leadership pulled out of this meaningless debates altogether.
They don't want to look stupid.
