Oh yeah we LDS do look for the garment lines!
I admit it. I do. Anybody else wanna admit this as well?

Yes we look down on non Mormons. We pity them. We have truth that they do not have, or worse, non members REJECT the truth that we have tried to share with them for their own GOOD. We feel sorry for those who choose not to be a God or married to a God.

You can't be serious. This is satire of the highest order. And like most good satire its absolutely true.

The guy in the video is a real prick. I stay away from people like him. Utah will be a better place after he leaves.

But he's so brilliant! I mean... gosh, the guy has taken religion courses from two universities. Gasp! He's obviously well on his way to becoming the next Richard Dawkins.

Yes, he has a tough time collecting his thoughts into complete sentences. Yes he rambles.
The thing that caught my interest was the perception that he, as an outsider, has come to concerning how we LDS folks treat not only the outside gentiles, but each other.
Pretty sad.
I wonder if members outside of utah have the same behaviors? Perhaps this man was able to see this quickly due to the high frequency of encounters with LDS members in Utah?

What do you think of atheists Paul? What did he say that you took exception to?

Never looked, never noticed. Period. And that even after serving in positions where I have my own copy of the CHI book 1.

I agree with Paul. This guy is a prick. The university that actually accepted him as a PhD candidate should have its accreditation stripped. He's a rambling idiot who can't even consistently form complete sentences.
Having lived in Utah for six years before moving to NC, I will say that Utah Mormons are a rare breed. The LDS folks I knew in SLC, however, were really cool. They were pretty normal.
Unfortunately, we lived in Utah Valley, or "Happy Valley", as we called it.(Provo/Orem area)
I did observe discrimination against non-members. One of my neighbors made a disparaging comment about an acquaintance of ours who was in her gym clothes. My neighbor made the comment, "Well, she is obviously not a member, or, at the very least, she doesn't have a temple recommend....just look at her outfit!"
I shot back at her, "Who the hell are you to judge? When was the last time YOU went to the temple? Did you miss the part of instruction where you're NOT supposed to wear garments if you're going to the doctor, or you're going to an exercise establishment where you are going to be changing in front of a lot of people?"
She shut up pretty quickly.
Also, our next door neighbors, who we absolutely adored, told us of their woes in finding an apartment to rent before closing on their house. They were Catholic, and they couldn't find a landlord (all Mormons) who wanted to rent to them.
Honestly....I nearly lost my testimony living in Utah. I grew up in California, and the Church in Utah was not the Church I grew up with or knew. The best thing that happened to us was moving to NC with a job transfer. The Church members here actually appreciate your efforts with callings....know how to say "please" and "thank you"...etc.

Come clean. You are this guy, aren't you?

You presume that his/your perception is accurate. I am not convinced that it is. And yes... I have lived in utah too, and have taken more than a few courses on world religions.
Sure, Mormons are aware of the garment line. Would the average Mormon shun a person for not having it? I'd say that for most (and of course there are exceptions), either they'd ignore it, or the opposite would be true (they’d instantly see you as a missionary opportunity). Some girls who are looking for a guy to date, however, might not give you the time of day (partly) for not having the garment line. But if you act/look in any way like the dude in the video... lacking a garment line is the least of your problems.

Heh... I was suspicious of the same thing.
God belief is for people who don't want to live life on the universe's terms.
