This is a fascinating classification system. The main problem is I've never met one of these rare Internet Mormons. Are they an endangered species?

Hang out at MA&D sometime. To draw them out of their hiding places, ask them if Noah's flood covered the entire planet.

I'm not worried about that. I'm worried about those Internet Mormons who favor apologetics over the words of the Prophets, explain everything away, and have contempt for the words of past prophets I hear about all the time here.

The "that" that you're supposedly "not worried about" is precisely what you described in your second sentence.

Nope, I've met my share of LDS members who are unsure about the extent of the flood but I don't meet a lot who read FARMS more religiously then the scriptures and the Ensign or have contempt for Joseph and Brigham.

Well, except Harmony. Is she an Internet Mormon?

Hehe, I'm not smart enough to be an internet Mormon and I am not blind enough to be a chapel Mormon. Does that just make me an ignorant Mormon?

Chapel Mormons aren't blind. They simply follow the prophet in all things.

One more time: the internet Mormon/Chapel Mormon dichotomy is a fiction created by Slim Shady to rationalize his liberal secularist intellectual snobbery, and little else.

All Mormons don't blog and use message boards, but many of the faithful LDS who do are the same faithful LDS who show up at sacrement meeting on Sunday, pay a full tithing, split with the missionaries, are good neighbors and citizens, and believe that Book of Mormon people's really existed, that Adam and Eve were real, historical figures, and that the Book of Abraham is the word of God and an ancient document.

They're the same people.

Then, of course, there are the intellectual "Jack" Mormons and outright apostates who don't show up there, but are very well represented here.

That's the fundamental difference; not that between chapel and internet Mormon, but between the sheep and the goats in both the chapel and on the internet.
