Yeah and so?

Good to know. That's it, there really wasn't a hidden meaning there.

What are you doing here?

Entertaining myself. My job is a 'feast or famine' type job in terms of work required and I spend some time very busy and some not so much. As I have to be available a lot I spend some of my time here to pass the time.

With the amount of time you seem to spend here and the MAAD board, I'd guess you aren't married?

True, though I am dating at the moment.

Notice the markings on the fringes of the clothing worn by these early christians.

Also the curse that came upon Ham was due to his stealing the garment from his Father and seeking to duplicate it without authority.

Gazalam, okay so that is Jesus holding bread and fishes? Where did the picture come from?

Why are you assuming that the markings are anything other than a normal dress embellishment for the period?

I have been through the temple.

I have doubts but I am too afraid to talk to either my wife or coworkers.

I am married to TBM wife with deep pioneer roots. I currently work for the church.
How TBM is my wife? She believes the garments came from god and that Adam and Eve wore them.

If I talk about any of my doubts, I will surely be facing a divorce and unemployment.

Someone asked why do I post these supposed easy to research questions?

To get them out there for other lurkers and the like to read. This is my only outlet to the hell that I live and work in.

My previous prediction:

Just sayin'

I'm gonna add "liar" to the above list of descriptives. Call it a hunch. What you say doesn't "add up".

Gazalem (just because this is of particular interest to me)...

I don't think that there is any evidence that a square or compass for that matter were early christian symbols.

Going back to the catacombs and early tombs and sarcophagi they just don't appear to be there.
I think it is wishful thinking?...

The Chi Ro is there, as symbol of letters in name of Christ, the fish, the anchor, the good shepherd, the orante, the dove, even some old testament symbolism (makes sense at a time when Christians were still greatly influenced by Jewish story from the Old Testament and when the New Testament canon was not yet fixed), the peacock and even some pagan symbolism borrowed from surrounding areas, Greece, Egypt and Rome among others....

There are plenty of catacomb pictures showing a similar style of dress, as the picture you give, but none where a square is obviously used as an early christian symbol...

In Gazalem's mind there is, because he has NEED for supporting evidence.

You are being objective. Gazalame cannot remember the last time he thought objectively about Mormonism.
