Actually, I had a great day today.

And I am not in northern Germany now. I am in lovely Bavaria (closer to my two month old daughter and to my primary work), although this summer sucks, here. Every five years or so, it rains pretty much all the time. I think it is an El Nin(y)o thingy, from what I've heard.

Actually, a friend (from the North) just showed up tonight and is staying down the street with his friends from Canada (Edmonton). We ate Asian (surprisingly more than just ok) and I had a few nice beers and good conversation. We discussed the movie 'Being John Malkovich,' one of my favorites, and a few others. But I didn't quote any Shakespeare or Milton, to their disappointment. I was a little too high (on the good beer).

How was your day? Any operas, or meetings with Ambassadors? FHE plans for tonight?
