you've described my brother-in-law to a tee. My sister is also not far behind this discription .... what a waste, of a lot of peoples time/emotions.

There is nothing one can do to help them.

Gotta wonder why Ray didn't choose to criticize this post. Could it be that his sole purpose for re-entering the thread was identical to his purpose in entering the thread to begin with?

To screw with Gaz?

Gaz,

Whos celebrating? I'm only stating that sometimes hard choices have to be made. that's not celebrating, its dealing with reality.

You seem very proud of your cruelty and hatred. You seem to believe your desire for revenge is somehow holy. You seem to joyously look forward to the day you can celebrate the pain and burning of your sister. You seem to revel in your elitism and loathing.

Of course hard choices have to be made... but few healthy people go to a place of planning their sister's death, or a willingness to throw out a child for homosexuality.

You seem not to grasp the sickness here.

beastie and Paul,

The issue of evicting the minor child was already discussed at great length in the thread that beastie linked to in the first few pages on this thread.

Take three guesses and then I'll tell you what it is. No really...3 guesses.

It's been pointed out that Gaz's views may have evolved and moderated since that thread, which is why I asked. His latest reply shows his views haven't evolved and moderated on this point at all. I concur with those who assert that his views are vile. I don't care if he thinks he's protecting the rest of his family, in his distorted world view wherein a young LDS person would be parading around in some gay pride parade and trying to subvert siblings. As has been pointed out too well by Gad, reality is that any young gay LDS person is confused and frightened, and doing his/her best to appease God. Gaz's behavior would practically force his child into prostitution and leave the child vulnerable to predation. That is vile. Period.

It doesn't take much imagination to create other scenarios in which parents think they are acting in the best interest of the family, and any sane outsider would still view the behavior as vile, and, at times, even evil. In fact, other posters on this thread have already developed this point, to your objections. Good intentions do not require that others refrain from condemning behavior and attitudes that, in any sane world, ought to be condemned.

I just wanted to give Gaz a chance to show he's moderated his views. He hasn't. As I said long ago, I can only hope that none of his children have the misfortune of being gay.

Thanks, beastie. I see better where you're coming from with this line of questioning. I do, however, disagree with the following reagding my objections:

My objections were not based on the eviction of a minor child. My objections TO the eviction of a minor child are well documented on the thread of origin that you linked to. I'd like to know that people are reading what I write instead of leaping to conclusions.

Again, my objections on this thread, had nothing to do with the eviction of a minor child. I haven't seen any statement on this thread until Gaz's current reply to your (15 year old) question that indicated he was discussing a minor child.

It wasn't discussed by me and I certainly have something to say about it.
