Try tanking up on it at 7800ft in altitude and let me know how sweet it is then. JAK didn't factor in the effects of consumption at high altitudes.

I'm tired and lethargic all day, every day.

I need to start drinking coffee so I can become productive for a change. The problem is, I don't like the stuff.

I can't function until I have had at least one can if Pepsi. I freely admit being a Pepsiholic. LOL

I remember as an LDS kid in a home where caffeinated drinks weren't tolerated what I would do to rebel. When at a friend's house we'd all buy a two liter of Mountain Dew and drink the whole thing in less then an hour. As someone who had virtually no tolerance for the stuff.....I went nuts.

Good times. I think I was something like this: http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail91.html

Now I don't drink much. Maybe hot chocolate twice a month and soda three or four times. I try to drink about 90% water.

I make a pretty good coffee, so my friends tell me. You should try it sometime. It really is delicious. No, it's not espresso.

2 to 3 a day. Works wonders. For me, anyway.

Oh, but theres so many other choices than coffee....

Red Bull is tasty, but more expensive than the others. Full Throttle is actually HI-C juice with caffine. No Fear (not pictured) has a Plum flavor. Monster and Rockstar both have a unique taste that some people don't like. I prefer the Green Rockstar myself, I like its flavor best, but it can be hard to find sometimes. don't ever drink the pomagranite Rockstar, it tastes like Hell.

Red Bull: 80 milligrams per 8.3-ounce serving
Monster and Rockstar: 160 mg per 16-oz serving
No Fear: 174 mg per 16-oz serving

It does not escape my attention that none of the people who chose to post on this thread lent so much as one word of support to me. And why? You're all a bunch of pathetic addicts! Too damn bad, yo. I'm doing great!

Today I returned to the scene of the initial crime that drove me to reduce my caffiene intake to next to nothing: work. I think it was about 2 weeks ago (I've lost track of time since I've been medicated to the gills) that I was outside when the grounds people came by to trim the "weeds" (read: devil ragweed), chopped it all to pieces, sent it flying into the air where I (on allergy meds no less) reacted in less than 10 seconds...itchy eyes, nose and seriously, itchy ears! Which led to a rather large collection of meds.

I went back today with NO meds whatsoever and guess what? I lived! All total, I must have drank 4 cups of tea today! That's down from something like 20 cups and you probably think I'm kidding, right? Every time I started to go on automatic to make another cup of tea (there is a small kitchen right across the hall with a hot pot that boils water in like 5 seconds, everyone calls it "Jersey Girl's teapot" but it's not really mine, I just dominate it all day long), I quickly filled another glass of water and fended it off! I drank water all day long!

Let's update the withdrawal symptoms:

1. I'm sleeping!
2. I am no longer spacey (don't argue with me, okay?)
3. I don't feel like I'm walking on air.
4. I've assaulted no one in real life, but I did have my eye on this guy in the Terrestrial Forum.
5. I can SEE!!!

I had more energy today than I've had in weeks. I treated myself to a new outfit (if you lose a few pounds, you have the right to celebrate) and got compliments all day long on my outfit and also my haircut. I dragged my floaty self into the hair place on Saturday for the haircut, seriously thinking I was going to crash the car at some point but figured if I was going to die, I would die with a good precision cut and I got it.

When I made the OP here, I mistakenly reported that I lost 3 pounds. As I came out of the fog today, I recalculated and I've actually lost about 7 pounds! Yes I know you despise me!

Now to the addicts whose posts appear above. Give it up! Give up your caffiene or at least cut down on it! You don't need caffiene to function. You need fresh air, sunshine, exercise, and water!

All free! Such a deal!

And Liz? I hate to tell you this, but no one drinks Pepsi in the morning. It's just not done, sis.

p.s. ragweed is the work of Satan!

Coffee is vile! Get off your behind and take a walk every day, you'll feel better!
