They loved the first one, and have been loving the second one. They only get it on weekends due to school.I pre-ordered the game, but the codes for the Juggernaught were all gone by the time I went online to get them. Really lame on the Gamestops part. You do get to play as the Hulk though.

I haven't played Ultimate Alliance 2, yet. I like the idea of it, but I have a difficult enough time controlling one character, let alone being responsible for 4. I don't get much co-op help on my PS3 games. Other than the UFC game, I play most of my games alone.

I think you can download some of those characters from the PlayStation Network store. I know they were offering at least one character before the game even came out (which is ridiculous, by the way).

I downloaded Zombie Apocalypse last night from PSN. It's good, gory fun.

The most recent game I finished (last night, in fact) is Batman: Arkham Asylum. This is the best game I've played this year.

I am slowly playing through this, and loving it.

"Slowly" because every time I sit down to play it, my three year-old grabs the controller and runs Batman around. I have to wait till she's asleep to play.

Kids...

But it is a great game.

Awesome Jack. It's good to see you back. Are you playing it on PS3 or 360? I ask because you can download additional challenge rooms from the Playstation Network for free. I'm not sure if the same is offered on the 360; I haven't checked. The challenges can be pretty difficult.

Side note: I finished Halo 3: ODST's single player campaign. I really like how smooth the gameplay is in the Halo games. I actually prefer it to the twitchier play of the Call of Duty games. I think it lends itself better to the console controllers, while the other games are probably better played with a keyboard and a mouse. I'm playing the Firefight mode now and it's cool.

The next big game I'm excited to get is Uncharted 2. Uncharted is still one of my favorite games of this generation and from the early reviews, Uncharted 2 is supposed to be even better. I can't wait.

It's nice to see you too, silentkid, and I'm on a 360, I'm afraid. Our video game budget is meager and my younger brother was working at a Gamestop, so he got us the 360 at a good deal and gave it to us for free.

I'll keep in mind the games you recommended. A game I had a blast with last year was Saints Row 2. The septic tank missions and the "go and break up the polygamist fight" stuff had me laughing hard. You can pretty much make your avatar look like whoever you want, so I made specs for Sarah Palin and Barack Obama. I posted my Sarah Palin specs here; never got around to posting my Obama specs though.

Yahtzee did a hilarious review of Saints Row 2 here.

Dang, I really need to get a system from the latest generation but I'm trying to make sure I hit the investment quotas I set for myself in January. Then I'm torn more. I want more games from the X-Box but Wii has the downloadable sequel to FFIV, quite possibly my favorite RPG of all time.

The Wii just price dropped to $199, I think. I'm looking forward to the new side-scrolling Super Mario game. I actually play my PS3 more than my Xbox, but the Xbox is better for First Person Shooters and online gaming. I think Microsoft has finally figured out how to make 360s so they don't break. My second console has been fine. And, you can find a ton of Xbox used games for cheap at Gamespot and online.

Nehor,

The wii is only good if you want a new paperweight. The PS3 price has come down, and it is wonderful. I mean, after you play your mario game, what are oyu going to do with your wii? You've basicly paid $260.00 for a mario game.

The Wii is the short bus of game consoles.

I disagree, I have great fun with the Wii. I like all the sports games, Mario Party, and others. They may not be 'serious' games but they're fun, especially when played in a group.

Heretic! FFVI rules all because nothing can beat the music of hundreds of voices screaming in unison.

I'm torn between Wii and Xbox. My siblings have Wiis so I'd be able to hook up and play Mario Kart or the like with them.

However, I'm really interested in Project Natal and I've also seen and heard great things about Shadow Complex which was mentioned here too. Besides, I can already visit some of them and play Wii there which is kind of more fun since heckling is easier in person.
