No chest hair. No wonder he looks like a 14 year old.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

Exactly! That and a little bit more bulk in the pectoral area.

HA!

I checked google images for "pecs" and that picture is what came up, so I used it. I prefer hairy fellas myself.

It wasn't Anonymous-Man-in-Picture's pecs that I found lacking, though. His arm looks oddly shaped. Is it not thick enough? Bicep and tricep unequally formed? I can't quite pinpoint the deficiency, but I know it's there. :)

Well, I'm going to have to stop poking fun at Brother Jumper then, for he may in fact be more manly than I assumed! Still, it's refreshing to learn that the women here at Mormon Discussions know the beauty of testosterone! Leaves nothing on the head, but ample traces of manhood on the chest and back!

If the References he sites were cheese, they would undoubtedly be Swiss.

It would be quite remarkable if the Book of Mormon were proved to be a record of an actual people that inhabited the North Eastern US.

Regardless, Smith was still a Charlotten. The church Smith created and the one that exists in Salt Lake hardly resemble the religeon spoken of in the Book of Mormon. Nephi would not recognize it to be, nor would Lamoni or Abish.

No need to accuse Ben and others of such stuff, Paul.

Both you and I were more or less on Ben's side in recent history,
so let's cut him a little slack -- and only make accusations that are true.

OK

Ok, I should be more nice. Where are those smilies when you need them?

I agree. Shades....this lack of smilies is really becoming annoying.

I've thought about that. Why would I go back to the LDS Church if I determined the Book of Mormon were actually true? I'm too conservative to go to the Community of Christ. The only choices would be becoming a member of a Restoration Branch or maybe the Remnant Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Something went horribly wrong with the LDS movement once it reached Nauvoo -- why would I want to buy into that?

That's just it.

The Nauvoo and Salt Lake church NEVER emulated what they profess to be the most correct of any book.

There is no place the Book of Mormon can call home.

So currently, they possess the rights to a book that, on the surface, they assume makes them unique from all of the other Christian knock-offs. But in reality, the Book of Mormon teaches Christianity and they don't even know it.
