Can Sarah Palin possibly be this stupid?

Post by _Kevin Graham »

While giving a speech in Canada....

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162- ... 03544.html

..we used to hustle on over the border for health care that we would receive in Whitehorse. I remember my brother, he burned his ankle in some little kid accident thing and my parents had to put him on a train and rush him over to Whitehorse and I think, isn't that kind of ironic now. Zooming over the border, getting health care from Canada."

Why did she even mention this?

Doesn't she know her image is now the world's biggest hypocrite?

She was telling the truth about the benefits of a health care system such as found in Canada. While her real life experience may not be congruent with the Republican position against health care for all American citizens, it must be remembered that the Republican position is based on representing the vested interests of those siphoning off profits from health care dollars.

To answer your original question, posed in the title of this thread, the answer is:

Yes.

I voted for McCain in the New Hampshire primary in 2000. I've always liked McCain. But when he picked Sarah Palin, at first I didn't know what to think, and thought I'd suspend judgment until I knew more about her. Then she went on TV and proved how much of a dumbass she really is. Nothing she's said since then has changed that impression, and instead that impression has been strengthened with every word out of her mouth.

ps: for the record I'd vote for a Canadian-style healthcare system if they put it to a direct vote.

She is a woman. She is a woman without Priesthood Leadership in the home. So yes, she really is that stupid... or if you will, misguided due to lack of "The Lards Authority" in her home.

Well,
After McCain made that bonehead decision to pick this(politically) incompetent woman for VP candidate everybody knew the election was over (Except Christian Rights). I still wonder how a Man as smart as McCain would make that decision.

My guess is that conservatives who had a jones on for Palin made him do it and threatened not to throw their support behind him if he did not.

I agree, Palin's that stupid.

Having lived in Canada for several decades, I would have to say that I'd vote for a Canadian-style healthcare system if they put it to a direct vote on the condition that doctor visits require a co-pay. It has been my experience Canadians abuse the free visit privilege, and there should be a cost involved so that people only go when they really need to, and not, for instance, when they need their toenails clipped (like I knew one woman to do).

I seem to recall that very recently, a Canadian minister came to the US to treat some sort of heart condition. While labeled a traitor back home, the bottom line for him was that he went where the best option for treatment was available. He seemed quite willing to let the Canadian system reimburse him to.

Evidence that the US system would work just fine when the socialist constraints are removed. Adusive or forced use always raises the price and reduces the availability. What's stupid here is not Palin, but liberals failing to understand economics.
