These angling advocates have come to suspect that public input into the process was a charade from the beginning.

The government effort appears to me, at least as described, to be aimed at reducing overfishing by commercial fishing fleets of our ocean (and perhaps Great Lakes?) fisheries. I believe this is a legitimate concern.

The people complaining in this article seem to be assuming an awful lot merely by asserting silence by the government on the issue as it pertains to private, non-commercial sport fishing.

I very, very, highly doubt that Obama wants to keep people from going out on their boats with their cooler of beer, at least two Mormons, and spending the day bothering the local bass.

I see this article as a whole lot of fearmongering, on very little basis in reality.

That's why I used the term "Obama adminstration" and not simply "Obama". I don't know exactly what Obama thinks about this, but I do know that he and his cabal generally support and agree with these environmentalist organizations who do support the elimination of both the private and commercial industry. The article even references a private case so yes, such is germaine.

Considering all that Obama has supported and lied about so far, some fear is not unjustified.

I have no problem with managing fisheries. I do have a problem with managing them out of accessibility.

There is some bad with the good. But a typical liberal trait is to dismiss it all without research if one other thing turns up funny. Of course the mainstream media is complete devoid of controversy, ineptitude, and single-minded influence. Yeah right!
