Harmony,
Clearly, if he is Director of the MI he's not on the fringe. I didn't know he held this position. Thanks to Will outing him, it makes sense why he was in that room with the others.

Lou Midgley 08/20/2020: "...meat wad," and "cockroach" are pithy descriptions of human beings used by gemli? They were not fashioned by Professor Peterson.
LM 11/23/2018: one can explain away the soul of human beings...as...a Meat Unit, to use Professor Peterson's clever derogatory description of gemli's ideology.

I "outed" him? LOL!
At any rate, I wasn't precisely correct. Paul is the director of the FARMS subsidiary of the Maxwell Institute. Gerry Bradford is the Executive Director of the MI. And, in the interest of "outing" the whole crew, I'll post a link to this super-secret website:
Maxwell Institute Administration

Thanks for that correction, Will. Yes, Harmony: Paul H. is the Chair of FARMS, which as we all know, is the department in the MI that is devoted strictly to apologetics. So, his presence at this alleged meeting says quite a lot.

Yeah, right. Critics here are the ones gullible enough to believe an angel with flaming swords threatened Joseph Smith with his life to have sex with women other than his wife that results in no children, when Smith's own magnum opus (Book of Mormon) specifies that God will only command such things when necessary to raise up a seed.
Oh, wait, Agent X might be giving information about a meeting that there was seed from Joseph Smith's extramarital affairs. The NAMIRS crowd might be hankering to prove that Joseph Smith's philandering produced a seed and therefore is consistent with Book of Mormon.
Gullible indeed. Okay, apologists, now it's time to jump on this gullible bandwagon.

He is, indeed!
What can it mean?
The presence of Ugo Perego in the meeting indicates that you, Will, are a descendant of Joseph Smith through one of his plural wives...likely through Sylvia Sessions Lyon's daughter Josephine (since Buell, Alger, Hancock, and Jacobs have already been ruled out). After Ugo informed the Maxwell Institute of this, you were clandestinely transported for three hours up to Provo from Cedar City so that you could be personally told to keep quiet about it, particularly in light of your upcoming FAIR conference presentation and the new revelation that you routinely threaten your horses with death.
Complicating this issue is the fact that you were discovered to be carrying that same genetic markers as one of Hugh Nibley's sons, hence the need for both of you to be in the same meeting. During this meeting, you and Nibley's son were confronted by the startling accusation that you may have attempted to dig up Joseph's body in an attempt to provide genetic material in order to disprove this shocking assertion.
Admit it now Will, for your own good.

Sarcasm has always been beneath you, Wiki. Which is one of the reason I tend(ed) to trust what you said. I hate it when I'm wrong.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

I find it hilarious that when I call you out on your insane theorizing the only defense offered is that I'm insane. I guess this means that you all really realize how tenuous and weak your reasoning is if your only defense is an ad hominem. Thanks for the confirmation. At least it means you're all desperate to think anything LDS is sinister instead of meaning you're all really that stupid.

Well, I don't pretend that it is beneath me - only that I need to master the temptation to indulge in it. I have freely admitted elsewhere on this board that sarcasm is something that I'm working on overcoming. This thread, however, is just too funny to ignore.

Well, I must confess that I am not a descendant of Joseph Smith, but not even I knew my real identity until fairly recently, WW.
It turns out that I was adopted when I was just a baby.

So, you have "confessed"...I must assume that everything else that you did not explicitly deny is therefore true. ;-)
For anyone who does not realize that my sense of humor is perpetually engaged, I will add
;-) :-) ;-)
On the serious side though, I can only assume that finding out as an adult that one was adopted would be a somewhat life-altering experience.
