The purpose behind such a law.
It's the worse thing to happen to wine since the movie Sideways.

We were told the purpose was because the bottle is a bigger bottle, and it would be irresponsible to sell it to one person. . . what if that person drank the whole bottle by himself/herself?! So if 4 people are in the party, it eases their worries, because obviously all 4 will drink it. . . duhhh, of course! ;)

Cooking wine is a complete waste of money. It is so full of sodium that even cooking with it is a disaster. If the recipe calls for wine, use wine...THE REAL STUFF. The alcohol cooks out, and you get the right balance of fruitiness that the recipe calls for.
In my opinion, buying cooking wine is foolish.
DRINKING cooking wine is even more foolish! Nastiest stuff you will ever taste.
My favorite wine is Pinot Noir. A good Cabernet is wonderful with fish, particularly salmon or tuna.

Hehehe, I personally don't like the "really dark red" stuff. I'm not a fan of wine, it's quite sharp for me but if I had to I'd go or white wine soft and fruity (don't like dry). I thought maybe I just tried bad red wine so I decided to go for a more expensive kind on Jamie's birthday and it was much stronger than what you get in a bar Bleurgh. I haven't tried much wine. My favourite alcohol of all time is Amaretto, it's delish in hot chocolate just before bed especially when you don't feel very well. I tend to drink when I'm out spirits with mixers (used to drink straight shots till they started coming out my nose every time and now can't - should never have tried a shot of gin lol), usually something like Martini and coke or southern comfort and lemonade of Sambuca and coke. Those are my regulars when I'm aiming to get drunk. I hate lager and beer but don't mind a little cider when I'm already past the caring stage lol.
I wish I liked wine, it would be nice to sit down with a nice dinner and have a nice bottle of wine but its all a bit gahh. Perhaps I haven't found my niche.
I think it's because the alcohol cooks off and you are left with everything else mixed among the flavours. Gives a bit of a kick lol.

Just curious, but how do you get through that part of the temple recommend interview?

Re: Which is your favorite wine?
It's hard to pick a favorite these days. So many good wines at cheap prices from all over the world. California (of course), Washington state (pinots), Australia (lovely stuff at great prices), New Zealand, South Africa, Chile and Europe.
I like complex, fruity reds the best. I have had some amazing Chardonnays, as well. Conundrum (Rutherford, CA) is a spectacular, blended white wine that's worth a try if you like whites. Usually, my favorite is whatever I'm drinking at the time.

This, or any other post that I have made or will make in the future, is strictly my own opinion and consequently of little or no value.
