I propose we forbid unsubstantiated conjecture. It stifles opinion, and makes posters feel unwelcome. Also, it is not nice.

First offense comes with a one week ban.

Second offense comes with a six month suspension.

In a thread titled "The most potent criticisms against the Church:"

The "only" criticisms that are difficult to answer are the ones that are actually true. And there are only "2" of those.

1. Some LDS had some wrong views and stated them.

2. Some LDS were slightly ethno-centrist or racist by our standards.

Of course, with both of the above there are "little" that actually exist. Anti-mormons misrepresent most of them, thus only a very small number are actually "valid" criticisms. As to everything else claimed against us, it's all based on misrepresentation and ignorance of scripture.

She went with a completely man-made group, and all with the intent of setting herself up in the world and making her children powerful. She completely forsook what Joseph did for a completely unauthorized group. I mean, she completely rejected Joseph crowning achievement for the Church and it's people, and that is the Temple. And then she said all kinds of terrible things about Polygamy, about Brigham, etc.

Are you telling me that you can't understand the difference between simple opinion as it relates to historical things compared to "anti-ism" towards another religion??? You seem to imply that we are not allowed to mention anything that might be problematic about another religion, and if we do then that automatically means we are degrading it or being "anti" towards it?
