Best Religious/Nonreligious Debate Ever

Post by _Some Schmo »

This should be played at the beginning of every religious - secular debate just to save time.

It's funny because it's all true.

The thing about this video is that it pretty much covers every single religious "argument" and throws it away. They're basically left with nothing after this.

Well... they're left with their faith, so... yeah, they're basically left with nothing after this.

Have you guys seen Bill Maher's movie, "Religulous"?

It points out a lot of interesting points regarding man's creation of religion and combines it with Maher's humor.

Being an atheist, Schmo, it's a "must see" for you. LOL

Maher equally bashes every religion, Mormons, Catholics, Jews, etc.

Sorry to derail...your OP just reminded me of this.

Or on the flip side, we can all read or listen to The God Delusion and laugh at the anger, sadness, and weak arguments from a biologist who cannot formulate an argument. It is amazing that this fella has such a large religious-like following. He is piss poor lost and continues to get torn up. He is often pointed towards by some of you folks as the person to read for atheist arguments and wow was that a dissappointment. What a magical thinker....

Yep Maher is a great example of a perv who continues to drive the posivitist argument. What percent of his high school life do you think he spent stuffed in a locker? I would say 20%

Glad you agree that this excellent video is effective enough to serve as the flip-side to a book that you evidently disapprove of!

religious-like
- hey, that is a good try at finding a way to continue saying that atheism is a religion despite the way that the video dismantled that tactic!

But no: not playing football is not 'game-like'. No cigar, though a commendation for a worth-while attempt at distraction from the OP.

Would you mind moving your posts up into the Celestial Forum? They are just too intellectually rarefied for us in the Terrestrial crowd.

I've watched it a couple times. Loved it. My favorite part is when the senator told Maher that you don't have to pass an IQ test to get elected to the senate (in response to Maher saying it made him nervous that he has elected officials that don't believe in evolution) and started laughing self-consciously. The expression on Maher's face was priceless.

Yeah dude... I'd love to hear you attempt to debunk even one argument out of that book. Go ahead. Take your very best shot.

I felt more sadness, anger, and weakness from you in this one post than I did from Dawkins' entire book.
