I am pleased to report that a federal judge has enjoined Arizona's immigration law.

The judge is out of bounds. I hope the state immediately appeals.
Making an illegal immigrant illegal is not allowed? How stupid is that?

Not nearly as stupid as your mischaracterization of the law.

and made it illegal for undocumented workers to solicit employment in public places.
From the MSNBC article, they are blocking this part of the law. That is illogical. Illegals should not be allowed to solicit employment period.
Though I think that the employers should be punished as well.

Virtually every expert on the constitution considers it unconstitutional. The states have no business making laws regarding immigrants, that is strictly the federal jurisdiction.
The only thing I didn't like about the law was that it originally allowed cops to interrogate anyone they thought was an illegal, and if they did not have proof of residency then they could be hauled off to jail. I had no problem questioning those who were arrested for crimes after due process, but to simply walk around the public areas and discriminate against those you think might be illegal, is ridiculous. The problem with this is that it would require all Hispanics, including latino US citizens, to carry with them at all times proof that they have the right to exist on US soil.

Re: Arizona 1070
Exactly, there's a corollary to what Kevin mentioned that bugged me about the law as well, which is that a Latino US citizen could be arrested for not having proof of legal residency if a cop suspected they were illegally in the country and they couldn't provide their papers. WTF? They would, of course, be released once it was established that they were in fact US citizens, but again, WTF? Why should any US citizen be subject to possible arrest for not having their papers, just because some cop suspected they were illegal?
And how many white people (or blacks) would ever be suspected of being in the country illegally? The law's advocates claim that race and racial profiling would have nothing to do with it, but seriously, how many white folks in Arizona would ever be asked for their papers by a cop? "I'm sorry Sir, but you said 'ay' at the end of that sentence, leading me to suspect you might be Canadian. I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you for your proof of legal residency." Yeah, right.

Mormonism ceased being a compelling topic for me when I finally came to terms with its transformation from a personality cult into a combination of a real estate company, a SuperPac, and Westboro Baptist Church. - Kishkumen

Your saying after they ave been through the system and found either guilty or not guilty, then you can ask them? Or only those found not guilty?
Being that it is a crime to be here illegally, how do we, whether on a state or federal level enforce this law if due process comes before evidence of a crime? Does a border patrol agent on a border area, in the middle of the desert, have the right to ask a group people wandering though the desert whether or not they are citizens or not?
You certainly do not have much respect for police officers, the laws stats that what you claim is illegal.

No, only those that are out commiting crimes?

So does this mean the government will actually start honoring its responsibilities and enforcing the united states immigration policies? Of course not. As usual, the ones who attempt to do something are shut down while everyone else sits on their ass. “F” the united states government. “F” them in their stupid asses.
