I do believe in many of the standards the Church teaches. However, unlike the Church and its defenders, I believe that the Church should be held to its own standards.

I agree with you almost 100%, except that I would replace the word "defenders" with "Mopologists" because I believe that there are numerous well-meaning defenders of the LDS Church who don't regularly violate LDS principles in order to puff up their own egos through winning arguments by any means, no matter how deceptive, vulgar, or low.

Here is what I've learned from The Mighty Builder:

The Church is untrue because, in the 1960s, the Church Office Building was built with an inferior construction method (seen as perfectly fine in the 60s.)

The Church is untrue because the Ogden Temple was built in the same manner as the COB, and is a "BUTT UGLY TEMPLE". In addition, the Ogden temple grounds are run down, and the adjacent real estate hasn't had anything on it for years.

The Church is untrue because the Provo Temple is also ugly.

The Church is untrue because one of his co-workers does not want to work on Sunday, however this same person has been seen in the office, using the copier.

The Church is untrue because less than 50% of the apostles are from outside of the United States

The Church is untrue because President Monson helped dedicate a Zion's Bank (which the Church has vested interest in).

The Church is untrue because not all temples look the same, or cost the same to build.

The Church is untrue because it asked Utah Woolen Mills to relocate for City Creek Center.

This is clearly not a person who likes the Church.

I am aware that solomarineris was speaking for himself, and I agree with him that a great deal of people here do not actually hate the Church. I wanted to point out someone who, I believe, in fact does hate it.

And as you pointed out earlier, he could have some sort of personal vendetta against it, but nevertheless he definitely does not like the Church.
