Here is part of my frustrations that you guys might handle. What do you think of this car? I have a limit of $5000. http://www.wehrschevrolet.com/VehicleDetails/782811373

If there is a young child involved, feel free to PM me.

With regards to the vehicle in question.

I would encourage you to consider your transportation needs before you bite. For example, are you driving in spurts around town? Over the road? Do you have to transport many passengers?

The Buick in question is a comfortable car to drive around town and over the road, and will transport 4 passengers with plenty of comfort and leg room. 5 passengers is fully do-able.

The gas mileage on those models is horrid! We originally had three, and now have two Centuries (among our collection of cars, no, I'm not joking) and the outlay on gas for just driving around town/back & forth to work was miserable.

I've switched back to a Honda. I'm a Honda worshipper of many years. :-D

Think about what you need in a car and think about the gas mileage.

I'm also a bit concerned about the mileage on that car.

Hope this helps!

Yeah, my voc.rehab. counselor was concerned about the mileage, too. So instead, I got a 1994 LeSabre with 104,000 miles on it. She needs paintwork, but the price was right. As for mpg, ANYTHING is better than a Jeep!!

Thanks, but it is job-search-related.

If it's job search related, you might want to add Liz to your list of advisors.

The college I teach for is involved in a co-op program with Vocational Rehab, DSS, Goodwill Industries, and a variety of other organizations which help folks who are out of work receive the training they need to re-transition into the work place.

In addition to my computer background, I have worked in an HR environment for years. I would be more than happy to look at a resume and give you some pointers, etc.

PM me and let me know what I can do to help.

:)

Liz
