Please. It's far too late for a resolution. He took the picture down once at my request. He then used it as a weapon in an attempt to keep me from criticizing him. Do you really think we're going to go down this path again? I can't, and won't, ever trust him again. Consider this thread a warning to anyone who thinks Scratch will conduct himself civilly.

OK, ttribe. So be it. I can tell you that I am not anxious "to go down this path again" anymore than you are. I don't know what more to say. I don't want you to go, but all I can do is ask Doctor Scratch to remove your picture from the blog. I certainly can't compel him to do so.

ttribe,

If you will personally deny the Explanations of Facsimile No. 3 and declare Joseph Smith a liar for officially stating those things in the church paper, I will personally go to bat for you and ask Dr. Scratch to not use that photo. But, you must confess that the Explanations given in Facsimilie No. 3 are lies and that the church should stop printing lies.

Can you fix my A/C?

Yes, I could do that. I am an expert on repairing HVAC equipment. My experience and education in these matters is advanced. That's what I do for a living.

I also don't see where ttribe's "real life" name and/or occupation are discussed.

Come now liz, you're tech savvy. It's not that hard to connect the dots. It also helps, at this point, that I've deleted some of the links he alluded to in his blog and restricted access to my picture on LindkedIn to only those who are in my network. The point is not that I have been able to reduce some of the damage liz. The point is that if Scratch had any ethics whatsoever, I would not have had to do this in the first place. Scratch can't play fair liz. Were he to do so it would become too obvious that his "mission" is nothing more than a hate campaign. This way he can just look like a dedicated soldier for his cause through the creation of diversions on to the person, not the real issues at hand.

I suppose I was hoping that maybe Scratch had felt badly about how he had treated you, and had made some of the adjustments I had mentioned to his blog.

However, I am glad that you were able to exhibit some "damage control" to the situation.

At this point, ttribe, I am not sure what further retribution you are seeking.

You have successfully "called Scratch out", and, frankly, I think what he did was a pretty low-class thing to do.

Some folks here are fans of Scratch, and will back him regardless. There are some, like me, who basically call a spade a spade, and, in spite of my overall friendship with Scratch, have no problem calling him out when I think he's wrong, as in this case with you.

As I have explained to my friend, DCP, does it really matter what Scratch, or blind followers of Scratch think? Aren't those who are more reasonably minded the posters you are most likely to carry on meaningful conversations with, and form friendships and possible business connections with, anyway?

The point is...Shades' board, though certainly not a perfect venue, has, nonetheless, allowed you to present your case unfettered.

What more do you want, or expect? I don't really foresee an apology coming from Scratch.

But, do I think you were wronged? Yes.

Jersey Girl agrees. As does Ray. As do, I believe, most posters who have the ability to look at the episode objectively.

However, I don't really know, from this point on, what it is you are looking for.

So it seems here that Dr. Scratch posts a picture of ttribe on Dr. Scratch's separate blog. That irritates ttribe. He complains. Dr. Scratch takes the photo down.

ttribe ups his board nannying. Dr. Scratch complains and explains that he'll put the picture of ttribe back up on Dr. Scratch's blog if ttribe keeps up the board nannying. ttribe keeps it up, so Dr. Scratch does as he said he would do and puts ttribe's picture back up.

Now who's supposed to be the bad guy here?

I honestly think that everyone's view about this matter of ttribe's picture is valid from certain perspectives. Both sides can present arguments of why or why not the picture may be published. Strategy is the name of the game. Whether the picture stays or goes will depend on who has the best strategy.

As I've already stated- I'm not looking for anything. The purpose of the thread was two-fold: 1) to create a record of my rebuttal to Scratch's actions; and 2), to provide a warning to others regarding the depths to which Scratch will stoop in an effort to silence those he considers enemies.

What’s done is done at this point and I don't believe there will be any new developments on this matter. All other discussion is largely superfluous.
