Dexter Season 5 Discussion Thread [spoilers]

I agree that the episode was slow, however, there were some priceless scenes. The scene with Masuka that you mentioned, Jack...I laughed out loud all the way through it. The scene at the tattoo parlor was classic, too. Favorite line was from Deb to Masuka.

Masuka(looking at girl getting tattoo): Tramp stamp..I think I'm in love.

Debra: If she's impressed with needles, you should show her your dick.

I still wish Deb and Masuka were together instead of Deb and Quinn. You can't help but love Masuka. He is so funny. And, unlike Quinn, he likes Dexter.

I guess the whole Deb/Quinn relationship is there to create tension since Quinn is suspect of Dexter and Dexter can't stand Quinn. I think you're right, Jack. The writers are doing some awfully cliché things.

by the way, where did you hear that Lumen ends up as Dexter's nanny?

It looks like the Irish nanny is going to be around for a few more episodes.

I didn't really start watching Dexter until last year, so I missed the Ice Truck killer episodes. I'm an avid fan, now, though.

Quinn has Masuka beat as far as the hotness factor, but I just love Masuka's sense of humor. The one I'm really in love with on the show is Dexter, himself. Michael C. Hall is an amazing actor. I loved him in "Six Feet Under", and I love him even more in "Dexter".

Tonight's episode was awesome!

It looks like Quinn and Deb are going to be a couple, which is going to conflict Quinn about investigating Dexter.

I actually do like the chemistry between Dexter and Lumen, but it seems a little early for Dexter to end up actually involved with someone, which is how it looks like this is eventually headed. It would be interesting for him to have a relationship with someone who actually knows about, and maybe even shares, his "dark passenger", though. That is very interesting.

Enjoyed last night's episode. Masuka's explanation for the murder scene was soooo funny.

I don't think so because the nanny understands what his job is like a bit more, and when he was on the phone with her, he told her it was going to be a few more hours before he could come home.

Besides, he needs the nanny so he and Lumen can chase after the killers in the next few episodes.
