Sales of Windows XP was discontinued on October 22, 2010
60% of all computers still use Windows XP
Windows XP support extends to August 2014.
Microsoft might want to hire the services of the Fox Media Advocacy Group to denigrate the XP operating system and link it to Adolf Hitler, Josef Stalin and Nancy Pelosi in order to boost the sales of Windows 7.
Get Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity to run hit pieces on XP, while touting the godly pro-capitalistic American virtues of Windows 7. Maybe even place a large bold 7 on Rush's Oxycontin bottle to entice his viewers.
win 7 is very nice, the only reason the xp numbers still remain high, is the cost. If you think its spendy to upgrade your home computer, for a business, even a small one, the cost is very high.

Not only that, but XP still works fine! I have XP running on 10 workstations here at my office, and I don't feel the need to upgrade in the slightest. We use the workstations for internet access and office documents, and they're just great. Very fast and reliable. I also have a couple Ubuntu and Windows 7 computers for different things, and they're nice too, but I suspect most people are just really happy with XP.

I agree fully with this. Those that have reason to update are the poor souls that are running vista.
