Ghosts?
I had an interesting conversation with several friends about the existence of ghosts this past weekend. I was wondering what any of you might think about the subject.
I have no clue what the official LDS view on this is (or even if they have one). I've had a couple of experiences that make me think that there are such things, but I'm still not sure.

This, or any other post that I have made or will make in the future, is strictly my own opinion and consequently of little or no value.

Here is an official word on ghosts: http://LDS.org/scriptures/gs/spirit.evi ... s?lang=eng
ghosts are most definitely real in Mormon lore and doctrines

Thanks Z!
I had a look at the link. Interesting, it talks about spirits (good and bad), but not the manifestation of ghosts, per se.
It's odd how different, but related religions view the topic of ghosts. Some protestants see ghosts as the spirits of departed loved ones. Others view them as only demons from below. Agnostics and atheists aren't sure if they exist or not.
What do you think?

I enjoy shows like Ghost Adventures and Ghost Hunters. Although I know some of it is fake, I am left in disbelief at some of the occurrences on those shows. Ghost Hunters, for example, does their little "flashlight trick" which seems convincing, also sounds that happen only when one of the participants asks a question or makes a statement are convincing, too. I honestly don't know, but I am open to the idea.

I'm a believer.
Im watching Ghost Adventures right now. It's so cheesy and I can't ever hear what they say they hear. I'd love to go on a ghost hunt.Simon wrote:I enjoy shows like Ghost Adventures and Ghost Hunters. Re: Ghosts?
Angels and demons and everything in between are accepted in LDS doctrine. I have no idea how much they interact with us beyond my own limited experience which is sadly mostly with demons. At least the stuff I am positive was some kind of spirit. It's possible angels and the rest are influencing me in minor ways regularly and often.

Details, please.
